As someone who worked in food production (former quality control at a chocolate plant) I can tell you that they had to have some MAJOR documentation of what was made on what line and when. All they way from ingredients coming in through who made it on what shift on what line. If they say your pint it safe, it's safe. They have no interest in causing any more illness and losing any more customers so they wouldn't lie about it. The recalled items were all novelties which came from a totally different line than the pints.
If it skeeves you out by all means toss it, but really its safe.

Wait tell us more about the chocolate inspection? Did you get to eat chocolate for your job?
@poppyc8 Yes I did! That as well as making sure workers were dressed properly and following procedures, product looked/tasted/measured properly, lines were cleaned, documents were filled out, products were wrapped right (we once had a recall because a batch of buckeyes were wrapped in the wrong buckeye wrapper.) Tiny details, so much responsibility! I got the job as a sort of internship in college. Eating chocolate and learning the industry was fun but the anxiety of catching every error, especially new to the industry, was too much for me.

They have all the info you need on their website. I'm in VA so ours isn't effected since it comes from the Kentucky distribution center and Texas was the one with the Listeria. But definitely give it a read and make sure.
