Henry loves being silly


and has starting making what he calls "funny face" when getting pictures taken

who loves to swim




and absolutely adores his little sister

sometimes she pretends to be a bear



She likes to hang out in bed


in a similar manner to her brother at approximately her age

I love them both! They look so much alike! What's Henry's favorite food lately? Do you feel like he's expanding his horizons lately? What do H and G like to do together? I imagine him making his "funny face" at her and her laughing hysterically.

Unfortunately he isn't not much expansion to his food horizons. He did try a grape for me the other day...and he gagged before he even took the bite At least he still loves to eat pouches!

Greta loves to be near Henry, whatever he is doing. Henry likes to hold her, and take her toys. She just stares at him and smiles!

They were/are both pretty laid back babies who tend to be happy.  (thank goodness!).  Greta seems a little more inquisitive. For example, now that she can roll she is not content staying on her play mat and playing with toys dangling around her...she rolls right off towards whatever else is near by.  Henry on the other hand would roll side to side but basically stay on the mat.

Right now it is probably his play lawnmower (which he calls a vacuum).  Or balls.

We are going to start Greta on solids this coming weekend.  I am excited and also kinda sad that it is time already.

Henry loves giving Greta kisses. I love watching him give her kisses and fetch her pacifier for her.


He also likes to dress her.  This morning he picked out her outfit.

I am really looking forward to taking them to the pool this summer. Greta just started swim lessons so hopefully she will always be comfortable in and around water, and Henry LOVES his swim lessons.  On longer term horizon I am most looking forward to reading chapter books to them and (hopefully) seeing them fall in love with many of the characters I did as a kid, and with reading in general.

Henry is a name we both like and which is a family name for H.  Henry's mn is my dad's name.

For Greta we threw out a ton of names, and eventually narrowed it down based on what we both liked. it has no particular significance. Her mn is my mom's name.

I think Henry used to look a lot like me, but I can see my H more and more in him.  same goes for Greta. I think we will see more of my H in her as she gets older. At times she really looks so much like Henry at the same age, although she is not nearly as chubby.

He has been obsessed with my boobs lately. He talks about how I have big boobs and he has nipples.  He likes to touch them and tell me they are soft and how much he likes them.

When Greta was first born he called her "da" because he couldn't say Greta.  he can pretty much say Greta now though

not really. I might be slightly more laid back. Greta is still in our room (she will be 6 months later this week) and I think we moved Henry over around 5 months. I'm also in less of a rush to start solids.  I haven't decided when I will get around to night weening Greta, but that will probably happen later as well. I think most of the differences come down to having 2 children dividing my attention.
