3/4C rolled oats (I use quick, but old fashioned would be fine!) 1/2C vanilla flavoured protein powder (mine is 150 cal 35g protein/scoop , I use 2 scoops) 1 tsp cinnamon 1tsp baking powder 1tsp baking soda 1/4C sugar (I use white, the recipe called for 1/2C Splenda, but I found them to taste chemically and the texture suffered-saves you about 20 cals though) 2 bananas 1/2C plain Greek yogurt 3/4C egg whites
Put all dry ingredients into blender or food processor and pulse together (turns the oats into a flour like consistency)
Mash bananas well, mix in yogurt and egg whites. Combine with dry ingredients.
You'll have a very wet batter. It looks weird and like it won't work, but it will.
Grease up a muffin pan (don't use liners, & even greased up really well, these things take patience to get out...I use a spoon and scrape them out) fill all 12 spots to the top.

They end up looking like this:
These are awesome! I use a VERY similar reciepe - Only instead of white sugar I use 1/4 cup brown sugar and some honey. The greek yogurt make them nice and moist! LOVE
Happy Monday fit buddies! I sucked last week. I kept up with breakfast every day, but everything else was a shit show. And we had a busy weekend so I wasn't able to prep much for this week. I did get one really good walk in, and I'm determined to kick ass this week. I'm realizing that I'm just too busy to make all my snacks. I need to buy some pre-made stuff. What are people's favorite pre-packaged snacks? I get bored with granola bars, yogurt, and applesauce.

I am feeling great this week!! I'm starting to enjoy working out, and I'm seeing/feeling the results! Adjusting our diet to include more protein has been awesome. By planning meals, I'm saving time, money and not eating junk. I worked out 5/7 days last week, and I'm going to try to keep that up.
kellrr for snacks you can buy individual servings of hummus and rice crackers, trail mix portioned out into snack bags, and if I can find the healthy snack link I saw on Pinterest, I'll put it here.
Amazing!! Pinned it! These actually sound good, too. I'm always forgetting good standbys like popcorn, hummus, and I love the idea of olives! Thanks, pal!
I am feeling pretty good this week! I ran three days last week, I am hoping to run at least 4 times this week and get in some strength training. We are starting some home improvement projects this week/weekend so the key will be finding time. At the very least I would like to get my steps in at a minimum of 4 days a week (10K steps) I have a hard time hitting this more than once or twice a week right now.
I have been cutting back on junk food as well and planning meals.

Smart Food white cheddar popcorn is my jam!!! It's my go to when I want to drink wine and eat chips. I can't give up the wine, but I can give up the chips!
TheMooseIsLoose dude, I'm all over those skinny girl recipes and they are awesome! They help so much now that I'm on WW. I had an egg bowl thing for breakfast today and it was delish.
I'm also working out almost daily, eating so much better and I feel great these days. I feel old but I started a probiotic and I can totally feel a difference with my digestive system and in turn, I'm not so sluggish anymore.
Last week was so so for me. I think I only worked out 3 days. But I did buy a heart rate monitor - and I want to start getting back into running. I'm hoping it helps with my motivation. The weather is supposed to be nice here this week so I want to try to get some nice long walks with dd in. From the working out I have done though, I already feel more toned and have more energy.
Eating was okay. Stayed within my goals almost all of the week. This weekend wasn't the greatest - but we had fun out on the town and grilling, so I'm not going to beat myself up about that.
Last week was kind of off for me. I stayed within my calories all but one day but I really only worked out 3 days and one of those was walking at the mall because it was cold out. I hurt my back before I even started my workout last Monday so I took it easy.
I was also feeling pretty burned out on the calorie counting even though I've been doing really well with it. I just want to eat all the things and I'm frustrated that I can't, or at least shouldn't. Why do cookies come in servings of only 2 and why does bread have so many carbs? I love carbs! And candy and cake and just generally most things that are bad for me!
That being said, this week is already going much better. I started over on my workouts and so far I've done them every day. I've been doing them earlier in the day now too which has really made my days feel more productive. I'm also fitting into more of my old clothes and finally noticing a difference in my body shape, so that has been encouraging.
Also, it occurs to me that it's been about a month since we started these check-ins. I think that's a pretty big milestone! Good job to all of you ladies who are still keeping at it

staryb don't get down!! Try baking with oat flour (rolled oats pulsed in a blender or food processor until finely ground) instead of flour! It reduces the carbs and calories. I made banana bread this way (and added protein powder) and its totally delicious.

I'd never heard of oat flour, but that actually sounds amazing! I'm so trying this!

This is me after last week:
Birthday + Easter - working out = fat cat
So, I'm back on the wagon! Going to do some healthy baking for breakfasts, grill some chicken to keep in the fridge for lunch and head over to the meal plan thread to decide dinner for this week.
I've been doing a mile and a half in half mile increments with strength in between, but this week, at least 2/4 workouts, I'm going to increase that to 2 miles. Baby steps. I'm also playing softball one-two games/week, but it's not hardcore, and any calories burned are cancelled out by the beer consumed. It's fun though!
I've also not been emailing with Cocomama so I'm going to try to do better.
TheMooseIsLoose yes I have definitely slacked on the emailing too but will get back into it now that we have a schedule down.
I have been mixing up my workouts a lot just so that I/my body doesn't get bored. At the gym they have this machine that tells you how much body fat you have and I've lost 2% body fat in a month. It's not much but it's something, I guess.

Easter was bad guys.... My diet was terrible yesterday!
But this week I joined Weight Watchers and I'm thinking I might try to sign up for a water aerobics class on Wednesdays with my sister now that Sunny is old enough to go to daycare.
Other than that I've been pretty good! Well... except I told monstomommy that I would run just once and I didn't because I'm afraid it will hurt and then I'll have another meltdown about how my body failed me blah blah blah...
It's all a cop out and I know it. I just need to strap on the damn shoes and go.
I did ok this week with workouts, but I'm really struggling to get 3 in every week. DS had been a sleep monster, so I am so tired it's hard to function, let alone workout. We have more amazing weather this week, so I'm hoping to go for walks and just make that a routine. I did great with making breakfast everyday, and thanks to TheMooseIsLoose, I picked up some great snacks to have on hand. Getting a nanny/babysitter lined up is on my to-do list this week, and I think I'll plan to do a workout while that person has DS to make the most of the time.

Love tit for encouragement.
I'm not a runner but I think I get the body betrayal thing. My c section really messed me up. Like how was I supposed to use my core while working out when I literally no longer had one? A few months ago I couldn't even do a simple pushup and I was irrationally afraid of jumping, but it's gotten much better. I mean my pushups are still pretty pathetic but I'm jumping all over the place now
Last week was probably the best week I've had. Well, at least it was up until Friday around 7pm, then it all went to hell. I did really well working out M-F but then skipped Saturday. I ate well M-Th and good enough on Saturday but Friday and Sunday were a blur of snacking and overindulgence. Oh well though, I kind of expected that. If I'm really going to go the whole "life change" route rather than dieting then I have to give myself a break every once a while, especially on holidays.
In any case I've already started this week out right by working out and going for a walk with DD today. Also, I'm finally back to my pre pregnancy weight Now I just have to work off the 10 or so pounds that I put on over holidays last year lol oh yeah, and the weight that I wanted to lose before that. So yeah, I'm far from done but I'm pretty pleased with my progress so far!
staryb I'm always so encouraged by your efforts! Keep up the good work!
Aww thanks! Hey you've encouraged me too, with your mommy and me workouts. I don't do anything very structured with DD but we've kind of started a playtime routine that I like to think of as an extra workout
I joined Weight Watchers and have been keeping up with my steps in Fitbit. I've been trying to run at least 2 miles a day. I need to do more weights and add in a core fitness video or something. Any recommendations?
Also, I'm still on the mostly (97%) no dairy diet due to DS's sensitivity. Oreos have been my lifesaver, and two of them are 4 points!!! What the damn hell.
Things have been going so so for me. I was doing really well, but now haven't worked out for 5 days. I need to get my ass in gear. Things like holidays or special events are what always derails me. Luckily, my fit buddy is staryb - who I find very motivational
I also really need to get better about meal planning. I've been taking inspiration from the what's for dinner thread as well as pinterest. I hope to be better at it from hear on out.
I have been mostly failing at the fitness thing. I think now that dd can go to the daycare at our gym I have no excuse not to go. I really thought buying the largest size pants I ever have might motivate me but so far it hasn't. Sorry for being a terrible buddy jesslynnsell

I know it's not the same, but you can eat as many raw fruits and veggies as you want. It's how I fill up for fewer points.
