crawford411 It's not going well this week so it can only get better
Just jump back in!! You can do it!
After a week of WW gains, last week I got back down to where I was 3 weeks ago, haha. I totally blew off exercise last week because I had my hair straightened and didn't want to mess it up! But I'm back on track. The diet is starting to become routine and that feels good. I got in a good 30 minute cardio workout on Saturday. Yesterday, I strapped DD to my back and took a 3 mile hike with H. Between the extra weight, the gravel path, and the hills, I am really really sore today. It feels good! Thr baby also slept super well last night, so I think it was a win!

I literally cannot remember the last time I was at the gym. But my meals are on point, just eating a crap ton of veggies and lean meat so, that's pretty great. Vacation is just a week and a half away and I'm not where I wanted to be, but I'm cutting myself some slack! Going to buy some clothes that fit and not worry about the size they end up being.
I've been running regularly and have a 5k coming up on Sunday! Undecided of I will run all of it or do a run/walk.
Try to run, but don't be disappointed if you need to walk. It's still 5k one way or the other!
My first 5K I walked more than half, so the second one I set mini-goals: "I'll run until that turn, then evaluate," then I got to that turn and it was downhill, I decided to run until I got to the bottom of the hill. Then want to go to the bottom of the hill there was a sign that said there was only one mile left, so I just kept it up, and ran the whole way! GL!

I started back to running again today. I haven't been in a while bc it was raining a ton and then I just plain got lazy. It was wonderful to be outside and clear my head...although now it hurts walking up and down the stairs . I need to force myself to continue because it is so hard to get back into it!
I've been doing well on my high intensity cardio and yoga plan.
I was alone at the gym early yesterday morning, running intervals on the treadmill, and a guy came in wearing an elevation training mask. It was the creepiest looking thing. I was so tired that I figured I was probably hallucinating or still dreaming. And then I completely forgot about it until this afternoon.
Did 30DS this morning. Evidently, you need to do it every day to 1. See results and 2. Have it ever get easier! Still, I'm digging it for the short time, no special equipment and can do it in front of the TV (and, if needed, swap out fussy baby for hand weights for a few minutes). And, actually, I only did it twice last week but did feel like my pants weren't so tight so maybe it was enough to finally tip me in the right direction. Keep up the good work ladies!

I just did day 1 of the running for weightloss app. It was good. Since there's no such thing as a track with a playground in the center, I was the crazy lady running in circles around the playground.
I've been failing pretty miserably lately. I think that I really have fallen into the "good enough rut" as I've been calling it. I'm below my pre pregnacy weight and my shorts all fit so I've been letting myself go a bit. I'm still doing a lot of walking since the weather's been gorgeous lately but I haven't done a real workout in awhile. I've also been eating out quite a bit more than usual and drinking too frequently.
I need to get back into it though and start cooking a little healthier again because we're hopefully going on vacation next month and I really don't feel like buying a new swimsuit. This means my options are maternity tankini or prepreg bikini. So, yeah, bikini it is...but I'm really not ready yet so I need to get moving!
I went for a great walk yesterday with DS, but I'm disappointed that a 30-minute walk makes me tired. I think that's a new goal for me: be able to push DS in the stroller for 30 minutes without getting worn out. I'm still doing 30 DS about 2x a week and trying to eat well. This week will be hard because DH went grocery shopping and I told him to get ingredients for 3 east dinners since I'll be out of town Thursday through Saturday. He bought Hamburger Helper, brats, spaghetti and Mac n' cheese. I guess I should have been more specific that at least one of the meals should maybe contain a vegetable. He also bought Oreos. Wish me luck!
5K on Friday would have been a lot easier if I hadn't had a beer with my BFF before hand. Around mile 2 I had some serious cramping, but I was able to finish in 34 minutes which is pretty far off my pace when I ran pre-baby, but I'm pretty darn proud of myself considering I had three weeks of training in. Now, I let me SIL talk me into a 12 miler on July 5, bring on the pain!
kellrr, your DH's grocery shopping is the exact reason I took over those duties when my DH and I got married. Not only did he buy only crap, but his grocery bill was insane! Who ever said processed foods are cheaper clearly never actually cooked anything. I spend the same on groceries for our family of 4 that he did on just himself pre-marriage.
I haven't been doing very well lately. I did download a running app to try and help me get back into running. I did one day, and it went well. But now DH is out of town, and I don't have a jogging stroller so I haven't done it again. I should really go to my moms and have her watch dd while I try to do more. Oh yeah, and I need to stop buying bad for me crap. I'm in a rut guys.
I think we may have talked about this, but would people be interested in doing a virtual 5K together? I'm doing a race July 16, and bennikki is doing a race July 5, and I think victoria was going to do another one. Maybe we could all pick a race locally in July and motivate each other to get in shape to walk, run, or jog it?

I'm game! Also if anyone else is still hunting for jogging strollers REI has a sale starting on Friday and I plan on using my 20% off to pick out a late Mother's Day gift for myself!

I have done alright with exercise, but terrible with diet. I'm trying to get back on the wagon this week, but now I'm coming down with a head cold, so I fear another sub par week might be ahead of me.

Thanks for the heads up about REI! DH has some dividend to use up there, so, hooray! I've done no research; what kind are you thinking of getting?

I'm thinking I'll get the Bob SE Revolution Duallie. I can't bring myself to buy another single stroller when I've already got one (not for jogging though) and I know we plan on having more kids so I'll need a double of some sort anyways.
I have been doing terrible with exercise but better with my eating I am going to get on the treadmill and get in a run at lunch. Slowly get myself back into it. The last few weeks have been challenging. I am not gaining weight thankfully
victoria, As a 2u2 mom, get the double jogger. I picked up a regular double stroller at a garage sale for $30 for evening strolls, but I wish I had a double jogger. I do have a single jogger, and while I'm not a huge fan of running with my kids, it would make training a whole lot easier if I didn't have to arrange childcare or make sure DH is home when I want to run. I find running with the stroller causes me to shorten my strides, and I tend to get sore afterwards which leads me to believe I'm not running properly, but that might change with some practice.
kellrr, I'm game to keeping the motivation for a virtual race. Like I said, I'm on for a 12 mile race on July 5, so right now, I'm running at least 3 miles 4-5 times a week. I should be up to 5 miles a time in a couple weeks, and then add some long distance stuff on the weekends in June. I've always found the toughest part of training isn't so much the actual training but finding the time.
I had a pretty good week last week, and even got 2 runs in, some of the first since early April! I tried to be good at all the BBQs this weekend, and now that I'm getting all my summer clothes out (most of which I didn't wear last summer) a lot don't fit and I'm putting them on the yard sale we're having in a few weeks so I can do some shopping for clothes that I love. As a reminder, several of us are aiming for a race of some sort in early- to mid-July to help motivate each other. If you are interested, speak up, and I'll be sure to encourage you. bennikki and victoria how's it coming along?

I did a 5 mile walk this morning with my mom and just signed up for a 10k the end of August so I'm really hoping I'll be ready to run a full 5k in July so I'll be on track for training for the 10k in August too!

Finally got back on track after being under the weather for a few weeks. Went to BodyPump this weekend and almost got 12k steps on my FitBit yesterday. I wore DS which added weight to a hilly walk so I definitely got a good workout. I did fairly well eating and even managed to trade in my favorite mocha drink for an unsweetened iced herbal tea.
I am finally getting back on the treadmill! Going to try and get in at least 30 minutes on the treadmill tonight with some strength training after. My eating is still doing pretty well. I am have been finding a few healthier things to work into our meal plan and I am loving some of them. I have managed to cut out a lot of pasta (without realizing it) and surprisingly doing well with that also!
H has challenged me to a weight loss competition - a little "biggest loser" type challenge. I am hoping he sticks to it more. He begged me more than 2 years ago to get a new treadmill and promised to use it and said it was what he needed to lose weight. I think he has used it maybe 5 times. Hoping I can get him to do some work with me tonight!
Hey girls! I had a dr appointment yesterday, and I've lost 8 lbs! We don't own a scale, so I don't keep track. I was excited to see confirmation that my work is paying off, and now I'm motivated to kick it up. My race is 7 weeks away, so time to get serious. How's everyone else doing?

Way to go!!! That's awesome!
I have pretty much sucked lately at working out. But I did go for a run last night once H got home and it felt great. I went through some old clothes I don't fit into and that was a pretty powerful motivator. I'm thinking of putting dd into daycare a couple days a week starting in about a month just to have some time to myself. I'm finding it very hard to do much other than walks when I have her.
