Our board is pretty quiet over here!
Sexes/Ages: 8.5m girl twins
ID/Fraternal: Fraternal
Current Milestones: Crawling and scooting, OH MY.
Funny stories/comments/concerns/questions: Now that they are crawling my DS has decided to play with them and interact more, it is pretty awesome to watch him trying to teach his little sisters to jump (they can't stand yet lol) and watching DD1 squeal and giggle as she crawls after him. As great and convenient the baby stage is, I love the mobility/interaction stage better
QOTW: im using same question bc I hate thinking of new ones.
Funny stories/comments/concerns/questions: I love watching their pretend play lately. They've taken to imitating life as they see it and will put each other to bed or play school. It's interesting to see the nuances that they pick up on in our daily routines. I also find it interesting that DS tends to play the "dominate" role in their games. For example, DD will crawl after DS when they play puppy or she'll be the one wrapped in the blanket when they play baby while DS is the puppy's human or the baby's daddy.
QOTW: Are you a dog or cat person? neither. I'm not really a pet person. and yes, somedays I think I am broken.
Current Milestones: grabbing and mouthing objects, talking to each other
Funny stories/comments/concerns/questions: had their check up today- weights are still on their respective curves- 14lb13 oz and 11-12 puts them at 37 and 1st percentile. I would like to stop worrying about their weight (and I should be able to with their gain), but my little guy is so little, I don't want him to slip.
QOTW: im using same question bc I hate thinking of new ones.
Are you a dog or cat person. Both. We have a dog and I'd like a cat but DH is allergic.
ID/Fraternal: di/di, don't know yet (probably fraternal, but we want to do the DNA test).
Current Milestones: they eat everything and love eating everything. A is super mobile and crawls across the house, M rocks on her hands and knees and gets flustered. They both say mama and dada and some other babbly sounds.
Funny stories/comments/concerns/questions: I think it is kind of hilarious how differently they approach crawling. Audrey is such a pro and she will crawl clear across the house. It would not surprise me if she walked late because she crawls so efficiently (like my DD1 did). M is a totally different story. She rocks on her hands and knees, takes one inch forward, freezes, scooches backward until she gets stuck...and seems SO jealous and frustrated that she can't seem to crawl forward. Consequently, I think she will walk first.
QOTW: im using same question bc I hate thinking of new ones.
Are you a dog or cat person: A cat person (there are very few dogs I like/feel comfortable around). But I will not have a pet larger than a fish for a LLOOOONNNNG time. Mrs. P. doesn't need any more mouths to feed.
