LO didn't care for swaddling so we stopped that early on. Usually napping takes place in a chair that rocks back and forth. And LO typically falls asleep in my arms and then I put him in the chair. Although in daycare, I'm sure they used the vibrating chair to lull him to sleep.
I've found he likes to be wrapped in a cozy blanket to be put to sleep but I dont swaddle him. I lay him down with it in the infant sleeper part of our pnp but the rnp works too. I turn on his sound machine and he is out for 20 minutes to 2 hours. With him laying on the blanket I don't think he notices right away that I'm not holding him. After he's asleep for a few I will pull the blankets back because he likes them a little too close to his face for comfort to fall asleep. At night he sleeps swaddled with a swaddle me and in his bassinet. With the same sound machine.

I'm trying to do her big afternoon nap just like bedtime. I nurse her for her "lunch", then rock her, then into the bassinet - lights out, shutter closed, drapes drawn, humidifier on. She also falls asleep in her bouncer chair (living room, tv on, blinds open/lights on) randomly in the early morning and late afternoon for shorter cat naps.
Her morning nap is usually in the car seat- she typically passes out around the time I take my big kids to school. I bring the car seat into her room and turn on her sound machine. She will nap anywhere from 30minutes to 2 hours in the car seat. The afternoon nap is nursing, swaddle me sleep sack and to the wedge in her room with the sound machine. If she won't go down for the afternoon nap then I do the swing (if she doesn't get at least 30 mins in the afternoon she won't sleep at night). Bedtime is bath (sometimes), rocking and nursing, swaddle blanket and down in her wedge in our room (she has reflux).
DD sleeps anywhere and everywhere. She naps in the Boppy, in the bouncy chair, in her swing, on her playmat and in her PNP. It really depends on the day and what is going on. Her morning nap is normally in the PNP and her later nap is normally in the swing but when she's ready to nap, she goes out no matter where she is.
LO sleeps in her crib at night, but during the day she usually falls asleep on me and then I transfer her onto the couch on her belly. She's outgrown the sleeper in the PnP and won't nap in her swing. If I want to do loud things while she naps (dishes, vacuum) I put her upstairs in her crib with white noise and the blinds drawn.

She always falls asleep on one of us and sometimes we'll put her in her bouncy chair, bassinet, or PNP. Usually she'll wake up shortly after but sometimes we'll get an hour or two. I never pay attention to how many or when they are, I've been way too go with the flow about it. I'm hoping with dh back at work and me finally on my feet again I'll get more of a routine but we'll see. I try not to kick myself over a lack of routine right now.
LO sleeps in her bassinet at night, sometimes the RnP. During the day, she sleeps in her RnP in the living room. We watch TV, do dishes, general everyday activity and she sleeps through it. I don't want her to be a "sensitive sleeper", where any little noise wakes her up. Come 8pm though, we turn lights off, TV down, and talk at a whisper to signify bedtime.

LO doesn't like to nap during the day, she will fight sleep for hours and hours. She rarely falls asleep on me (I guess my boobs are just too tempting). She does like her vibrating bouncer chair and I can usually get her to at least have a 10 min cat-nap in it. She will almost always fall asleep when DH holds her though, unfortunately he works when I wish she would nap! If she does fall asleep in my arms, I will lay her down in her bassinet. At night she sleeps in the bassinet and occasionally on DH's side of the bed if she wakes up after he leaves for work and I'm too lazy to walk to the bassinet.

Just when I thought I had naps/bedtime figured out ds switches things up. I shouldn't be surprise but I 'm a routine type of person and this new behaviour of the last few days is hurting my head.
A few things for sure - after his finals night time block of sleep there is little to no chance he'll nap unless he is on you. All the gadgets around this house are useless until bed time and then the only one that stands a chance is the r&p. Most times this is fine - it's great to snuggle with wee one but then I look around and wonder how supper is going to made once dh goes back to work on Monday.
If there is one thing I learned with ds1 - once you think you have something figured out, they'll switch it up on ya.

He will fall asleep by himself in the vibrating bouncy chair or in the swing. Both of these are downstairs so there's normally a good amount of noise from a tv or my girls playing. Other times, he falls asleep with me holding him and then I wait a little and put him down upstairs in his rnp. He has a white noise machine up there. He's never liked being swaddled but does like his paci!
