I had only been there about a month posting (longer lurking) but I have to agree. Assuming they are still interested, I thought they were great.

Regardless of the traffic I think two mods are best. That way the mods can split the responsibility and not feel stressed to always be on the board.

I'm fine with Slappy and Wicked if they want to stay on. But I'd be willing to do it too. I volunteered when Darce stepped down but I don't think you guys knew who I was then lol. Regardless of what TB thinks, I actually enjoy building a community. Jerks.

I also volunteered when Darcy stepped down,  by TB gods didn't want to elevate a member to mod status at that point.  They wanted to just use a mod they already had.

That said, I think @wickedcandy and Slaps are great choices.

Since there are many boards, I was thinking maybe 2 moderators for the high traffic boards and maybe 2-4 global mods for the rest?

I agree for two also. It helps with vacation/busy-ness coverage and it's good to have a second opinion when it comes to moderation also if it's ever an issue.

Because of the time difference, I'm usually on here while most of you are snoozin'. If it would be helpful, I would be willing to keep an eye on the board during my day/your night and jump in if something goes awry.

I don't think this would be a legit Mod position because it wouldn't make sense traffic- and time-wise (and I think the former TTGP Mods are fantastic). But is there such thing as a Deputy Mod? Mod Jr? Mod the Lesser?

Just an idea. I rescind this offer if Deputy Mods are required to be sober.
