I have two today. 1. I think I'm getting a y.i. Haven't had one in over 10 years. So annoyed. Going to ask one of the docs at work to write me a script because I have no time for this nonsense. 2. DS did not sleep well at all. I thought we were finally getting a good routine down with only 2 wake ups but last night he was up for times and it took an hour to get him back to sleep two of those times. What gives?! Eta:sorry if tmi!

Thought of more.
SIL started giving smallish easter baskets to our kids way back when and we've felt obligated to reciprocate for her kids (our nieces) too. Fine, whatever. But dang it, it all adds up. And it's kind of ridiculous since my ILs treat easter like a second christmas anyway. So.much.excess.
All of my Amazon subscriptions arrived last week except for the huge bag of dog food. Tracking said it should have been delivered Friday but also shows it still being in Oakland, CA. I'm scraping the bottom of the current bag so it better not take too much longer to get here. I don't want to have to go buy stop-gap grocery store dog food.
DH wants to get a part time job at a cigar shop. He would make much better $ working OT. Im trying really hard to be supportive because it is something I know he would like to do. But i think its silly to pay for daycare and break even for the extra $ is is making.
My neighbor sucks soooo bad that we spent the whole day yesterday looking for a new house. Not fun!
I can't imagine living in a hell like that. I'm glad that I live next to a vacant lot and neighbors that help get my cat down off the roof when I'm gone. I hope you find something soon!

My ILs randomly sent us birthday/Christmas gifts last year after never having done it before so we felt obligated to reciprocate. They have 6 kids, 2 of whom we've not yet met because we rarely ever see them. I just sent art supplies this year along with $5 for each kid because I don't know what they're into, and they sent us some (crappy) gifts. I told DH to just put an end to it. It's not worth it for either side to spend money on shit no one really needs. I said we can either send them a gift card and tell them to use it to buy gifts for the kids, or just send each kid a few bucks, but I don't want any of us to feel obligated to go buy and ship actual gifts.
For my niece and nephews this year for Christmas, I just got them each a $5 Dunkin Donuts card and taped them to some Easter Kit Kats. I tried to reign in what I put in my own kids' Easter baskets this year, I can't afford to make baskets for everyone else, too, so I don't blame you for feeling that way!
Apparently, my kid will STTN in the swing but not in his crib. I don't want to start a habit but damn it was nice to get a long stretch of sleep the last couple nights. I don't really want to sleep train at least until after his weight check but I'm not sure how much longer I can function with him waking as much as he has been.
And right now he's been fighting his nap for well over an hour. WHY DO MY KIDS HATE SLEEP SO MUCH?

I have been waiting for 10 mins for the person I am supposed to be meeting with. They said they were available at 215, I gave them 5 extra mins and squeezed them in at 220, clearly stating to them that we have to be in and out of the space we are looking at by 245 because a tour is coming through. We are renovating lab space and I drew up all the plans and let the team review them two weeks ago. Everyone agreed that they looked good so I sent the plans to facilities to get the job quoted. Now this idiot comes back to me with a completely different floor plan. So I agree to meet with him in the lab to discuss the plans and he doesn't show up. I am beyond annoyed.

I hate when people don't respect your time!
Hope they show up soon! Or you can just do things the way you were going to originally!
I hate when DH goes out to lunch with friends he almost always pays. It's okay to just pay for yourself sometimes if no one else offers to pick up the tab for everyone.
1. We had a new employee start today, which is awesome. But someone else called out sick. We're too short staffed to do her job AND train someone brand new. No. Just no.
2. My stupid contacts are still bugging me. I had to go to Berkeley in person on Friday to finally hear anything because they won't return my calls. The contact lens gal had been on vacation and apparently no one was doing her job. I called this morning to ask if I should make an appointment because they're still problematic and nothing got better over the weekend. Why am I surprised that my call hasn't been returned yet?
3. It rained almost all weekend and today is the first nice day. That's rude, Mother Nature. I want to be outside, not stuck at work till 8!
4. LO woke up at 3am hungry crying. Been trying to drop the dreamfeed, but yesterday he just didn't want to nurse very much during the day. He would whine and cry but refuse the boob, but then he would gobble up solid food. I have no idea what's going on. I guess I should be glad he nursed at 3am but my sleepy brain didn't appreciate it so much.

H does this too. Makes me crazy!
This is the number one reason we have separate "play money" accounts that are don't ask/don't tell. He can treat his whole department to lunch, and it doesn't come out of my pocket!
I think one of my wisdom teeth is infected. The same thing happened in December but at the time I could only get one out instead of all of them. I started antibiotics and am going to call tomorrow for an appt. I don't really have time to take off work so I guess I'll just be getting one out again. And DH now has the cold DS has. Except he can actually complain so it's much more miserable.

Just found out through text that one of the teachers on my team had posted a "Peace Out" post on Facebook. Only the rest of us still don't know that she is leaving.
dawnfire sorry nursing was crazy for you :-( we've struggled on and off lately with good sessions and bad ones.
Ir was mostly rough because looking up info on kellymom made me feel like a terrible mom since I can't be with him to nurse 24/7. STOP JUDGING ME, KELLYMOM! He nursed just fine yesterday morning and this morning, so might be the teething causing trouble, too.
