I assume you have a normal cushiony office chair and have good posture (ie not hunched over etc.)? I have no experience as the pain i feel isnt from sitting down, but a chiropractor sounds nice.

There are a few stretches you can do. I can explain or link if you want! Put some ice on it, it'll help reduce any inflammation. Hot pad is good, too, to relax muscles. I am 100% pro chiropractic and massage and both have been wonderful for my discomfort this pregnancy!
I was reading on the May board about maternity support belts but I'm not sure if its too early for that sort of thing. I never used one in my first pregnancy though.

My doctor gave me a support belt, and my insurance paid for it. Oh, my gosh, it is wonderful. A bit humbling while having to figure out how to wear it correctly, and there's a learning curve to hiding it while at the same time wearing it comfortably, but oh, so worth it. They gave it to me a month ago, but I just started wearing it Friday. It has helped tremendously with sitting as well as walking.

I have been doing some stretches, but have also found just walking around helps considerably about half the time. (The other half, I prop myself with pillows and whine.)
Chiropractor, stretching and massages, definitely. I feel you though, I have awful back pain too. My Dr. Thinks I've herniated a disc in my lower back, but won't do an MRI while I'm pregnant. Good luck to you!!hope you get some relief!

This is a good one. www.athletico.com/2012/03/28/stretches-to-minimize-back-pain/ The prone stretch and the cat stretch always helped my low back pain even pre-pregnancy... and now they feel amazing! The prone stretch is getting a tad more difficult with a bigger belly, but it realy helps the low back and it even helps stretch the abdomen a bit which feels amazing at this point! The cat stretch will help increase space between the vertebrae in the back.

You wouldn't think of this in helping back pain, but it really does. Those front muscles take on a lot because the lower back muscles are lacking right now. It'll feel great to stretch them out. Also, make sure your hamstrings are getting stretched, too.

I second the chiropractor! I also take a bath in epsiome salts every night. I Absolutely hate taking baths but this has helped my back, my RLS and I use Dr.Teals brand with lavender oil and it helps me fall asleep really fast! Also if anyone has Psoriasis or Eczma it helps a lot with that. My P on my legs is almost completely gone!
