1. How far along are you? What fruit? 11 weeks! Lime (:
2. How is PGAL brain treating you? Today wasn't bad. Been having some aches and pains and cramps so if course my mind is in overdrive, but I'm trying to stay optimistic.
3. Appointments this week? Yep. Pre-op on Friday for my cerclage surgery. Also getting an ultrasound so that's exciting!
4. How long have you and your partner been together? We've been married for ayear and a half and together a total of 3.5 years.

Yay, I'm glad you made it over here!! Hope the whole cerclage process goes smoothly for you. x
Thank you for doing this elvenqueen. I really need this today. It's my due date as well. I hope you get through your day alright.
1. How far along are you? What fruit? 8w5d/raspberry
2. How is PGAL brain treating you? Terrible. I didn't realize coming to the due date of my lost angel would be so hard. I really don't know how I am going to make it through the workday. As of now, I am trying to stay locked up in the office until the store opens. I keep crying and I'm worried my employees will see. I don't feel very supported by my H. It's not that he doesn't realize what I'm going through, he's just never been great at emotional support. Today is just hard.
3. Appointments this week? My first midwife appointment and ultrasound are tomorrow. I am terrified. With my last pregnancy, I had decided to put off an ultrasound until 20 wks. I never saw my baby until the mc. Now, instead of being excited about my appointment, I am just freaked out.
4. How long have you and your partner been together? Next month it will be 5 years together. Married 3 years in March. He's pretty great most of these time.
Just wanted to say good luck at your appt. I am hoping everything looks great!
I just wanted to thank everyone again for all the support yesterday. I decided to break from the message boards and just veg on the couch all day with my husband. The rest of my day was better than the beginning. I am even almost looking forward to my appointment today. You guys rock!

Sincere sympathies to those who are struggling, and a big thank you to elvenqueen for starting this thread up here.
1. How far along are you? What fruit? 8w3d, still a raspberry.
2. How is PGAL brain treating you? Overall I've been feeling better since passing the milestone of my previous loss in week 5, but I had a bit of a setback when I called the doctor's office to find out what to expect at my first appointment. It sounds like I will not be having any ultrasounds until 20 weeks, and since it may be too early to hear baby's heartbeat with the doppler at 9w2d, the Jan 27th appointment I've been clinging to as my light at the end of the tunnel is turning out to offer very little along the lines of reassurance. My one friend I've told about my pregnancy is incredulous and thinks I should demand an ultrasound, but I feel like my relationship with my doctor is more important, and I trust her to take good care of me. My intellectual side knows that my anxiety is certainly not a medical indication for imaging, but my emotional pregnant lady side feels like it should be! In any case, DH and I decided we will ask about NT and screening (we want ALL THE SCREENS), and hopefully that will score us something along the line of imaging prior to the anatomy scan.
3. Appointments this week? Nope. Counting down the days until 1/27. Never made it to my first OB appt last time, so this feels like a landmark.
4. How long have you and your partner been together? Together 7.5 years, married 2.5 years
Decided today to go ahead and do the NT scan in a couple of weeks. I don't know if that's a good idea or not, it'll make me a crazy person either way.
I'm debating the NT scan, because I'm having a f/u ultrasound on Monday, when I'll be either 9 or 10 weeks, so idk if it seems excessive to have another so soon?
malelz @malelz ...half the time I see melsner and half the time I see malelz. I'm so confused!!
You know, I've noticed this too. It may be because I started as melsner and then changed my profile name. I can't seem to change my username and I think you have to use melsner to tag me. I should have more thoroughly thought out my sn.

I read that somewhere that you have to use the person's username versus the screenname to tag them. If you hover over your name next to your avatar it tells you malelz.

The thing about the NT is that is takes really precise measurements that they likely won't look for in a regular scan. So it might be worth it if you want the testing. I've been on the fence about what kind of testing we're going to get for a while. I went to the class where the MFM guy went over all of our options, and, looking at all of them, it seems like the best screen that's available to me. Still nervous, though.

I'll definitely be talking to my doctor about it next week...I'm just torn because with my DD we opted to not do any extra testing, because we didn't have any risks for anything. But since my loss, I feel more paranoid about everything and feel like I need to know more. My doctor is a good voice of reason, so we'll see what she says.

This is me. I always find something to worry about. I was relieved to have the ultrasound and see baby, but now I'm over-analyzing the pictures and thinking my NT fluid size looks big. I haven't gotten any results back yet, so I'm just drving myself crazy while I wait.

STUCK IN THE BOX!
Fingers crossed for good results for both of you. We've opted out. I'm really good at putting me head in the sand
