Kayleigh is my sassy, crazy, funny, sweet little girl. She is so smart and she amazes me every day by the things she says and does. She knows exactly how to push our buttons but also know exactly how to get out of trouble. She's pretty much a complete sour patch kid Her favorite shows are Sophia the First, Curious George and Wild Kratts, although she will pretty much watch anything on TV. She also loves movies (Frozen and the Planes Fire & Rescue her current favs) and eat popcorn. She loves her baby dolls, building towers, and making pretend food and tea. She loves to play chase and hide and seek as well. I can't wait until the nicer weather so we can really go all out at the park and in the back yard She really loves being a big sister, although she has a tough time with jealousy and sharing her parents. Andrew is our happy, content little guy. He is a little flirt and loves to smile at the ladies. He loves to be held and snuggle. He is really all about standing and is working hard at trying to sit up when we prop him on the couch. He really hates doing any form of tummy time and shows no signs of even wanting to roll at all. He giggles when you tickle him which is the cutest sound in the entire world.

She listens to all the phrases I use to him, like when he's talking I'll sometimes say "Oh yeah buddy?".  She constantly walk around saying the same phrases to him now.  Its the sweetest thing how she wants to take care of him, especially when he is unhappy.  And all she ever wants to do is snuggle with him.  She's a really great sister and tries to share her toys, food, etc (although she often steals his toys because they used to be hers at one point).

He's doing really great.  The RSV is a thing of the past and seems to have no side effects as far as we can tell.  He is doing great with his brace for the club foot.  It doesn't seem to really effect him at all.  Although he loves to kick like crazy the second it comes off for bathtime or when we're getting him changed.  His foot looks really good and as of right now they are just monitoring him.  They just check to make sure that his foot isn't becoming too stiff or moving in a direction we don't want every few months.  Its a nice change not having to go every week to the doctors'!

roo1582 awesome! H wore special shoes when he was a baby because his feet turned in so much. You would never guess now. Its always harder on the mom.

They are pretty similar.  I was lucky in that I got 2 pretty low key, laid back babies.  I will say Kayleigh was a bit more content and easy going.  Andrew is a bit more vocal and needy.  He's content but wants to be held more.  Everything was a bit more easy with Kayleigh.  She was the perfect baby.  Slept through the night at 3/4 weeks, put herself to sleep, things just came pretty easily for her.  Andrew still wakes up at least once a night (we had 1 night he did sleep through the night) and wants to be held, rocked to sleep. But I really can't complain about either of them.  I know I'm really lucky with them.

Her personality really surprises me.  I was always so quiet and cautious as a kid.  She was that way until recently.  Now she's full steam ahead with everything.  She's extremely stubborn and headstrong.  And she has this crazy streak to her that always makes me laugh.  I honestly hope she keeps all those qualities, even though sometimes it drives me nuts!

She also surprises me in how smart she is.  She's always surprising us with new things she's picked up.  Like we were working with her to count to 5.  Next thing I know she was counting to 15 and we had no clue she knew how!  Granted, she learns a lot at daycare, but she picks things up so quickly and then spews them out at times when you don't expect it.

Kayleigh would eat yellow American cheese (yes, it has to be the yellow) and yogurt all day, every day if she could.  She loves quesadillas as long as she has sour cream to dip them in.  She also loves her blueberries and raspberries.  For special snacks she loves pretzels and popcorn.  She is also a huge sweets girl so she loves skittles, m&m's and marshmallows.  She used to love bananas but in the past couple weeks have decided bananas are the devil.  Oh well!

Andrew is actually a pretty good sleeper.  He wakes up about once a night.  Right now he will sleep an 8-9 hour stretch, wake up to eat, and then go back down for a few more hours.  He's usually in bed 7:30/8  and wakes up 7:30/8.  He's given us one night of sleeping through the night where he gave us a 10.5 hour stretch.  I really can't complain although I look forward to not having to wake up in the middle of the night.

He has a special brace and shoes he wears 24/7 (except bath and changing clothes). Once he starts pulling up to stand he will just wear it at night when he sleeps. This is what they look like.

In some ways it's easier and others it's harder.  It's honestly relatively easy taking the kids out on my own and getting them set in the morning/night.  It's hard with Kayleigh's jealousy becuase I feel torn between the two at times.  I have the mom guilt worrying I'm not giving each kid the attention they deserve, which is silly since I try to do a lot with each of them.  The first little bit was hard in figuring out all the moving parts, but we've developed our little system which seems to work, at least for now.  Honestly I couldn't imagine not having the two of them.

Not really. We call Kayleigh by her name mostly these days. DH calls her Kayster. Sometimes Crazy. Other than the cutie nicknames of sweetie, pumpkin, etc. Andrew we plan to call Drew eventually. Right now I mostly call him Buddy or Little Man.

I used to occasionally babysit a little girl in HS whose name was Kayleigh. I always thought it was pretty and liked the way it was spelled.

Andrew was a tough one. We really couldn't agree on any names. I've always liked the name Andrew. Dh was only so-so with it. It was down to Joshua or Andrew but I didn't feel like Joshua fit. Dh was ok with it since he likes the name Drew.
