We have a stove being delivered today from 12-2:30 sometime and while I'm working in the morning, I have plans to lunch with a good friend, and we have had to put our plans off two Friday's in a row now due to my work. My stepson is 21 and very capable of handling the stove delivery (though he doesn't really want to) and I just told him that I have to work and won't be home until about 2pm (not a total lie but I'm not telling him about the lunch!). Oh well.
DH and I do enough, my stepson and MIL live with us and we support them both. MIL pitches in a small amount of $ each month for food, and she does do some cleaning. My stepson plays video games most of everyday, unless he's watching fucking cartoons (anime) or napping. The whip is cracking on him though, because he's got a deadline to get a job. This is crap. My parents NEVER would have tolerated this.
I have a play date/walk planned with a good friend of mine today... I don't really want to go because I'm feeling lazy as fuck. But I haven't seen this friend due for a bit due to unforeseen circumstances in the past couple of weeks I really should go. And of course, it would be a good thing for both DD and I to get out.
I sometimes feel I'm doing DD a disservice. Since becoming a SAHM, I feel I've turned into a bit of a hermit. I worry that this is impacting DD in regards to socializing with other kids. She sometimes comes across as awkward when we do go out and other kids don't seem to want to play with her when she approaches them.
It's raining and I don't want to walk the dog. We call him Polly-Prissy-Pooper because he has to find the exact perfect spot to defecate, like it matters because I'm just going to pick it up anyway!
Looking forward to a fun weekend though, hopefully finally getting my son into his new bedroom so I can start setting up the baby's room.
Sometimes if DS is walking around with milk in his sippy cup and he spills a few drops on the floor, instead of finding a towel and bending over to wipe it up I run my sock feet over it. Gone.
Everytime I see the GD check in post I read it as 'God damn check in'

I don't want to get out of bed but DS has a half day and Easter party at school. I signed up to help with said party. Oh and it's supposed to be 98 here today. Yes it's March and I will be in my pool all afternoon.

I told SIL that I had a doctor's appointment to get out of babysitting for her today. She asks me on a nearly weekly basis and I'd rather go enjoy the beautiful weather with DD than have 3 extra kids all afternoon.
I've never heard of them either. Oh geeze. Their deals must be great to get any sort of interest out of me.
See...that's the thing...they charge a RIDICULOUS amount for their clothes because the patterns go in and out of "retirement", so people go crazy for them.
I'm having cupcakes for breakfast because I should get my GTT results today or Monday. I am stuffing my face with all the sugar and carbs I can just incase.
It was my Spring Break this week, and DS and I spent pretty much all day everyday watching TV. Does it count that we worked on potty training and he hasn't had a single accident since Tuesday night?!
On another note, I sat down to order the monogram for DS2's room yesterday, and decided I hate the name we chose (Mason). Now I'm making us start from scratch in the name game. DH is not happy.
I wish I could send all my employees home so I could get some work done today in peace and quiet.
Despite having tons of work to do I am leaving for lunch shortly to return some spring/summer tops I bought at Old Navy yesterday that are too small and go to Destination Maternity to try my luck there. I was looking through my closet last night and I don't know how I survived on so few maternity clothes when I was pregnant with DD.
I'm sitting in the waiting room for my biweekly checkup and even though I am pretty sure I'm going to get a lecture of gaining too much weight in a 3 week span, I'm mentally deciding which breakfast wrap I'll be stopping to pick up on my way home. It is Friday after all!

I may or may not have hosted a Southern Charm party last Memorial Day Weekend where the theme was to bust out your best Lily Pulitzer and drink bourbon and gin before breakfast. Flame away Lily Pulitzer haters.

That actually sounds kind of fun hahaha. When we vacation on the Cape or in Hilton Head, I always (jokingly) tell my husband we need to get him a pair of Sperry Top Siders and bright lobster shorts to fit in.
Ooh I have a good one. I made these Wednesday while I was working from home: chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2015/03/18/chocolate-chip-peanut-butter-bars/ And between DH and I, we ate the whole pan in one day. And they were so good the I am debating making another pan today, even though I know we will end up with the same result.

nettje, I think it's fine that different people have different levels of comfort in social situations. How about signing DD up for a gymnastics class or something like that? Does she attend daycare or does she stay home with you?
pbubblegum, I wish I could go on maternity leave sooner! Training it is getting rough! Enjoy the rest
I'll probably get some flaming for this, but today we have to sneak our two cats into our new COOP. Where there are a shitload of employees (security workers, maintenance guys, etc). And the biulding doesn't allow pets. Except for every other person and their mother that got grandfathered in this January. Both our neighbors have cats actually.
Now I know lying about my guys is frowned upon, but that aside, we're gonna put them in their carriers, then in a large blue IKEA bag and cover with a blanket. Any other suggestions about muffling possible meows, sneaking them in as quick as possible for this operation pussy drop?
holliberry28 I do have her enrolled in a number of classes usually throughout the year. Swimming and gymnastics or sportball. She's stays at home with me right now and I'm thinking for next winter of enrolling her into a preschool program at our recreation centre. Many preschool programs won't take kids in my area if they're not potty trained yet.... And DD has no interest in that yet.
No advice about smuggling your kitties in but good luck with getting them in. The only thing I can think of is getting them one of those calming collars with pheromones in it. It's supposed to help keep kitty calm.

I consider potty training to be an all day activity, so no judgement here I like the name Mason, what made you change your mind?
I just feel like it's too trendy or something. DS1 is Colin- which I love because it's timeless! I feel like we need to choose something equally timeless for this little man...
One of our two dogs was a foster-fail. (I.e., we agreed to foster him while he was up for adoption, but I couldn't let him go, so we adopted him.) DH has since prohibited fostering dogs in our house. ("We will NOT have three dogs.")
Sooo... I just emailed the SPCA and offered to foster a dog they rescued from a Korean meat factory. DH doesn't know. BUT I COULDN'T RESIST.

when I see the WFD thread I always thing "what the fuck dude" LOL!
@bubbs119 We are doing the same! This baby is a secret baby, no one knows due date, sex (team green), names. A lot of people don't even know I'm pregnant. I'm really enjoying it(:

1. I was almost late to my meeting because I stopped for a birthday cake frappucino (WORTH IT!) 2. My continued partial previa, while unnerving, makes me glad I don't have to do sex for another month. I am disgusting and just don't want to. I am fine with being a BJ queen. 3. I am treating the "special carbo load diet" I have to be on for the next 3 days for my GTT as a free pig-out. Just in case it's the last one for awhile. HERE I COME CARBS!
@bubbs119, we kept DS's name a secret and I thoroughly enjoyed telling the random phlebotomist at my 3 hour GTT what our top runner was! I totally would have done the same already this time but we haven't picked a name yet for this LO.
