Hi There Ladies, I'm Megan! Hope your Tuesday is off to a great start. I have been a member of TTCAL (now CAL) since Oct 2013 when we lost our first pregnancy after having no success for 4 years. Since that time we have had 3 additional losses. All of the losses have been early losses (7 weeks, and then three at 4.5 weeks). We've been seeing an RE since June and the fourth loss was actually under their care on a Clomid + HCG cycle. DH and I didn't really like the RE (DH referred to him as Dr. $hithead) so we worked to get an appt with a different doc at the same practice. That appt was last Friday. Thankfully we loved her. She was great and the right personality for us to feel comfortable. She went through all of our records beforehand (the first RE read them while meeting with us for the first time), and was understanding. She actually did IVF herself so she was knowledgeable about everything including the difficult decision it brings about in general.
Ultimately, She recommended we move forward with IVF with PGD. We did some blood tests (a blood clot test she couldn't find in my history, an AMH test, and also the genetics/Counsyl tests) on Friday. I'll need to do CD3 BW on my next cycle and also schedule an HSG (doc wants to make sure that nothing has changed since my endometriosis removal surgery and hysterscopy in 2013). If all goes well, we'd go on BC to start the IVF process in March... I was hoping for sooner because I hate to feel like I'm wasting more cycles, but we can't get in for an IVF class until Feb 18 and the IVF class is a pre-req for the process to begin at my RE.
So, here I am, hoping that I can join you all and glean understanding and perhaps some of your awesomeness will rub off on me too?!?!?! Thanks in advance for the support. I'm in the process of changing jobs at work (new job starts Feb 1) so I may have to mostly lurk until then.
