french toast/breakfast casserole

Just being a PW today... I remember we were talking about this around Christmas but I don't want to go back to TD and it's probably half deleted anyway.

My sister is making Easter brunch and I told her I'd bring some kind of sweet french toasty-bready-breakfasty kind of thing.

Did someone find a good one? something I can do in the slow cooker so I don't have to do much when I get up in the morning?

I've made this one a few times and it's always a hit and it's SUPER easy. The most recent time I made it, I prepped everything the night before, only leaving off the nuts (pre chopped in a container) and the syrup. I stuck it in the fridge over night. Took it out when I woke up let it sit while the oven preheated and added the nuts (good without too, for my friend with a nut allergy) and syrup and baked. It still turned out great!

You really don't need to serve with syrup, its sweet enough with the syrup in the bake and the icing on top!

You make it the night before then cook in the morning which is nice. It's so good.

I think this is the one my friend makes for brunch sometimes and it's really good.... sounds similar at least.

And britbratjf, I'm totally pinning that one, because basically anything The Pioneer Woman makes looks and tastes delicious.  I love her food.
