Intro (child and prior loss mentioned)

Hello!
Years ago I was on The Bump when I was TTC, suffered a MC and then became pg with my now 4 year old son. I'm 36 and we are thinking about/getting ready to TTC #2. I briefly went over to The Bump to try to resurrect my old sn but read about the drama a few months ago and quickly found you all over here. I'd love to join you!
I've been struggling with this decision for awhile now. I've had major baby fever for a couple of years but when we decided to get pg the first time we agreed we'd be OAD! DH has a son from a prior marriage who is now almost 18. DH is 42 and worried about his age. I say we shouldn't let that impact our decision. We also really like where we're at life-wise but it's important to me for my son to have a sibling closer in age.
So...I have an appointment next Tuesday to have my IUD removed and I've started back charting. I'm both worried and excited to be back in this place.
I love these forums because I'm pretty private IRL and don't exactly talk about this stuff with family and friends so I need an outlet to talk about my feelings and experiences and share with others. Right now all I have is DH! I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you here and thank you for creating a better place than "that other place."
