I've commented here randomly but never really did an intro. I'm 24 weeks today (yay V-day!) with B/G Di-di twins. They are spontaneous twins and a total and complete shock to us at 13w when we found out! I had already had a quick scan on a portable u/s at 9w, and a doppler at 12w. I was home visiting family and my mom snuck me into her hospital she works at to get a peek at the baby, and we found out it was two! My H wasn't even on the trip with me so I had to call him from the table and tell him, which naturally he didn't believe me at first.
Baby A is our girl and is looking great, except for a little extra fluid on her kidneys which they expect to be within normal limits at 28 weeks. Baby B is our boy and he has a 2 vessel cord attached to the side of the placenta. We had a fetal echo this week because of it and found out his heart is slightly tilted as a result but the MFM said she expected that with the cord placement and it will correct itself at birth when he's no longer attached.
We have a DS who will turn 2 in late May, and my 40w date for these babies is 7/23. I'm a RCS though which will be scheduled for July 9th at 38w if I make it that far.
