I know that it is common during pregnancy to lose your mind. I was just wondering what silly things you all have been doing since getting pregnant.
AFM: Besides having issues finding words. I am continually reaching for tissues in the bathroom over toilet paper and several times I have gone the wrong route when trying to drive somewhere. These are a bit lame, hopefully you will have better ones.

The other day I got a message from SIL who is also pregnant asking me if I knew if Epsom salt baths where ok during pregnancy. Only I would of SWORN I was talking to my mom. I told her I didn't know about the bath and "are you pregnant and your back hurts" thinking this is funny. Except she told me she was pregnant. I sat there for 10 minutes horrified that my mother is pregnant (she had a hysterectomy a few years ago). All the while staring at the message which clearly says SIL name at the top...
Just the fact that I spent that long thinking about my mom and her lack of ovaries and uterus and being pregnant is horrifying to me.

Oh pregnancy brain is for real! I feel like an idiot. At work, I was always great with patient names and remebering who they were, their story, etc. Now, I got nothing. I legit can't remember these people for the life of me.
I also jumble words a lot too. Called Easter Thanksgiving today. Ugh, so frustrating!

I can't say words. I sound like an idiot half the time trying to pronounce basic English. And I can't even remember some of the words because my memory is shot.

I continue to try and get in to other people's cars. Most of the time the fact that they're locked prevents me, but there was this one time where someone left their car unlocked and I couldn't figure out where all my stuff was.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one....I feel like suddenly have a stutter.

I thought I'd be helpful last weekend by trimming a hedge. I plugged it in, turned it on and cut straight through the electrical cord. It switched off the electricity with the safety switch and DH lost an important document on the computer. I also forgot to put the garage door down and the dog ran halfway down the road before DH noticed and thought to check. I didn't even twig.

I put shampoo on the loofa instead of soap couple days in a row now. And DH is about to lose his mind with me and the pepper jar too - stare right at it and have him come help me find it in the kitchen, oops.
I can never remember if I've taken my zantac rx. Like now for instance. The burn is raging, but I'm not sure if I need to just suck it up with TUMs or if I took the pill. damnit.
paintdadanta you just reminded me that I washed my hair multiple times a week ago instead of using conditioner. It's amazing how things you should be able to do without thinking get messed up.
I can't speak. Words are gone. And basic function at work too, which sucks. I have a coworker who keeps saying the baby stole my brain ... Which is true sorta, but he's driving me nuts. Oh and I forgot the whole how to brake thing and hit a tree a few weeks ago ...
bruunk yikes! That would scare the crap out of me. I hope you're okay!
Today I picked up my toothbrush, and instead of going for the toothpaste, I picked up a bottle of nail polish remover. I didn't try to put it on my toothbrush or anything. I just kind of stared at it confusedly, wondering what I was supposed to be doing.
I ran straight through a red light. Saw it turning red long before I got there but it didn't even occur to me to stop until I was more than halfway through the intersection. Thank my lucky stars there were no other cars going through their green light at the time. And I was lucky I wasn't pulled over - I was so busted. That really freaked me out.
I'm totally ok! I was at work, in the parking lot, and going less than 5 miles an hour. Just total out of brain experience and forgot that you move your foot to the brake, not just press your foot down, on the gas. I just went over a curb, hit a tree. Little to no damage to the car, and none to me or kiddo it was a fun morning
lc1158 that's scary - but I totally get it! I'm on hyper alert now when I drive, because of moments like that.
I was trying to describe it to a friend, and all I could come up with is it's like being really stoned. I'm out of it, totally brainless half the time, and hungry all the time. Only thing I'm missing is the giggles!
I have identical pairs of shoes (one brown pair, one black pair) and totally got all the way to work with one of each on. Had to drive back home to fix... Felt very, very dumb.

I was at my labor class this weekend and the instructor was talking about contraception for after the baby is born. I became totally panicked because I thought I forgot to have my IUD removed and was all paranoid it was hurting the baby. Then a good 30 seconds later I realized I had it removed and that is in fact, how I am pregnant now. Couldn't believe I had that thought and had it for a fair amount of time too.

I went and changed some back up tapes at work. It's a simple process. You swap one tape for another according to what numbers are expect. e.g.. Swap Tape #4 for #1. I managed to stuff this up. Fortunately the guys at work are having a warm hearted laugh even though it disrupted them a little bit on Easter Sunday. I still have no idea how I managed to stuff it up.

We usually cloth diaper DS so I'm in the habit of dumping the poop in the toilet before putting the diaper in the wet bag. We also do this of he's in disposables (but put the diaper in the diaper pail). The other day I changed his (disposable) diaper and walked to the trash and dumped the poop in the trash and then rolled the diaper up to go put in the diaper pail.
Eta: according to the box you are supposed to discard of poop from disposable diapers as well.
I started dating everything June 9th today instead of April 9th. I guess I cannot wait for June.
Last night my husband asked me what I wanted to eat and instead of saying baked potato I said broccoli. I was imagining a baked potato in my head but couldn't get the word out for some reason he knew what I meant.
I went grocery shopping last night and when I got home I was feeling tired and hungry so I just put away the cold stuff and ate something for dinner. A few hours later I went to go put all of the other groceries away and realized I left the brand new milk that I bought on the counter for all of those hours. Ugh what a waste.
I went to drop of Jersey at doggy daycare yesterday (not my first time) and as I was signing her in I was reading the sheet and one of the boxes you have to fill out is "Timeout". I looked at it for almost a minute thinking "why would they give the dogs a timeout? Is that for biting? Does it cost extra?" Before I remembered that they mean what time you want to pick up your dog. It wouldn't have been so bad but it's not the first time I've filled out the form...
