rachaelmary I have had issues with LO as well and the poop rash out of nowhere. We've done a lot of the things tlex mentioned! Baking soda bath, air out naked, homemade triple paste, no wipes, etc. The only other thing I could think of is that it could possibly be a yeast infection. LO has had two and they have been horrible rashes.

tLex not annoying at all!! I appreciate this! I feel so bad for her and I don't know what to do.
It isn't oozing...but previous ones have started to bleed. It doesn't appear to be yeasty, it's more of a burn type. And it comes on so fast. She'll have a clear bum, she'll poop, I'll go change her and it's tomato red and she's screaming. It's like something in her poop is burning her. I showed the doctor the picture I took when it was at its worst a few weeks ago...he didn't have much advice.
Poor C with the ammonia burn! That sounds terrible. what caused that?
@rachelmary I'm so sorry about DD's rash. It sounds miserable. Random, but fwiw my dcp's daughter gets terrible diaper rash and the pedi think it's hereditary and not food related. DCP makes her own wipes with paper towels like tLex mentioned and also lets her run around naked. The clean up is worth it, apparently. GL, I hope you can figure out what's causing this.
So, you crafty folks made me decide I HAD TO make a tulip wreath. I'm literally the least crafty person on the planet but I like wreaths and I love tulips and I just decided it was time to unleash my inner craft goddess.
So I google and I Pinterest and I research glue guns, and I plan out my crafting station, and I put on craft appropriate clothing. And then I load up my kid and head off to michaels........and ITS CLOSED. Because it's Easter. }^!++#}}^*>,!€€

So far for our gathering today this has happened:
- I told my mom to be here by 11. She bought steaks and random salads and her BF is going to grill them here so we don't have to do the work at least but she let me know they will be here by noon. The reason I said 11 is that LO usually eats lunch then and since we still had to cook the food, it would be awhile before we actually ate.
-BIL was told 11:30 because I knew he wouldn't be here by 11 and the food wouldn't be done anyway. He just showed up so only 15 minutes late but still.
-My dad sent me a text message saying Happy Easter and that "everyone" was at grandma and grandpa's (40 minutes away) and asked what we were doing. I explained and asked who everyone was. It's literally all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins that live around here. He apologized for not letting us know ahead of time but said "we're family and always welcome." I responded that how are we supposed to know anything is even going on if nobody lets us know. UGH!
-We invited MIL but she was going to busy which was obviously fine by me. I did text her though about my stuff going on (possible loss wise) and it's been over an hour and she hasn't responded. I KNOW she saw it because she's one of those who doesn't let her phone get more than a few inches away at all times. Why would you not reply to something so serious?

Happy Easter, all! Ds2 is napping before we make our rounds. The rest of us are watching ice road truckers. The boys loved our egg hunt this morning. We hide dyed eggs in the house, then eat them for breakfast.
rachaelmary poor girl. Try tracking what she's eating. Maybe there's something acidic causing it.
I've been doing that this past week actually. She had strawberries, which could be it, but she didn't have strawberries any other time she has had the rash. That was the only acidic thing she ate this week.
And ew on the throw up on your face! I would probably throw up as well if that happened to me!
Tomatoes? Those do that to Adam sometimes too, and citrus. He had a horrible rash when transiting to wcm, I put him in a bath with oatmeal and lavender. But yeah anything acidic if he has too much he gets that instant rash when he poops.
Still catching up, but I actually like Goodnight Boston. But it's not one of LOs faves so we don't read it eleventy times like we do with his Kittens book. Kittens pounce kittens lick kittens climb into boxes kittens kittens kittens kittens kittens. Lol.
Is anyone still using bottles for milk? And am I weird for only wanting to cloth diaper at night?
We still use bottles. LO has no desire to drink milk out of anything but her bottle. I keep trying, but I'm not going to stress about it. I keep telling myself she'll give it up when she's ready (or when I'm ready for tears over it).
codypup I don't care what shellbell says, I like your hat. And I want one. We can be hat twins.

Bottle here too for milk... not even trying to switch right now...
rachaelmary ok this might be a dumb one I should have asked right away but what kind of diaper is she in? If it only flares up when she poops and is only around her anus I really agree that it sounds dietary.
I keep forgetting to ask the pedi, but do you know if the dietary ones, if it's from acid does that just go away once they're out of diapers? We change him right away but it's like as soon as it touches his skin it bothers him. Hopefully we've figured out the problem foods so we can avoid them but sometimes it still happens.

LO passed out quickly for this nap. I SHOULD go help H and mil clean up lunch, but sitting with a sleeping baby new boarding and cheking fb just feels so good.
