I'm so sorry tLex. I was the same way when I went back to work and DH was laid off. I wasn't going full-time like you but I was still pissed and sad, etc. It took at least two weeks to get into a place where I was feeling better about it. I'm confident you will get there too.

Ugh tLex I'm so sorry. I just started work at the beginning of March and it was ridiculously hard leaving L. I felt lost and out of place all day.

I won't lie, it still sucks and I would 100% rather be home with her, but it does get easier once you get into your new routine. Lots of ((hugs)) to you and enjoy your day with C tomorrow.

You can do this. I know it will be hard on you and C at first but think of it as a great opportunity to spread your wings and share your valuable knowledge with others. You will be impacting the lives of many instead of just C. Give yourself a few weeks before you decide if you truly hate it. I believe you will be surprised how your feeling will change! I'm so sorry! I was a complete wreck when I went back. I felt like I had been punched in the gut the first few days and like a piece of me was missing. But it got much easier and very quickly, and I very much enjoyed being at work and fulfilling that professional piece of me. It's a new normal and it will take a while to make that adjustment. Be kind to yourself - it's not going to be easy, but it will get easier and you can do it.

I'm sorry. Even though I don't actually want to be the SAHP I totally get the jealousy of DH, and it sucks. I think the build up is the hardest part. Not that you won't have hard days, but once you're immersed in the job you're distracted, you have a sense of pride and fulfillment at the end of the day, and you'll get some really good quality time with C when you are coming in "fresh" (from a baby perspective). I hope you're able to enjoy the day tomorrow.

Go do something fun even if it's just a playground. The first day will be hard, but it gets easier. You fall into a routine and you'll realize you still get tons and tons of precious moments with C. For me personally, working makes me cherish every single moment more. Even the bad times are great because I'm with her.

I'm so sorry this is so hard for you! I have the same feels about wanting to stay home, but I am not in the position to either. C will have you as a strong, motivated, hardworking role model. That is so important to a little girl! Ask him to send you some pics of her during the day. I find that helps sometimes if I am missing LO a lot.

You've already gotten great advice, but it does get easier. I promise. I don't remember where I heard it, but someone said it helped when they looked at it like "I *get* to go to work" instead of "I have to go to work". You get to impact the lives of so many little people, and that is awesome.

It's an adjustment, for everyone. But just wait til you see C's face light up when you walk through the door!

(((Hugs))) I agree with the other ladies that the thought of going to work is actually harder than being at work. The first week is the hardest, for sure. You will miss her like crazy and feel guilty, but being home with her during the evenings, weekends, and holidays will feel all the more special.

Make sure YH sends you plenty of pictures and updates. It does get easier, but there are still days that it's hard to leave.

You're going to have a great impact on so many lives, while at the same time raising a wonderful human being. Good luck tomorrow, mama!

I totally agree the anticipation is a million times worse than actually going to work every day. It sounds like you will truly enjoy your job and feel happy going, which will make a big difference day to day. And remember, quality over quantity. Babytlex is fortunate to have such a great mama!

TLex big huge hugs to you my friend. It sucks and it's hard and nothing we say can change the fact that you're going to miss your baby. Hell, I've been working since W was. 9 weeks old and my heart STILL squeezes every time I leave her. And every single day I cannot wait to get home to her stinky self. I have days where it takes everything in me not to say F it and go get her.

But at the very same time, my job fulfills me and I love what I do and I know you're passionate about your job/industry also. What really helps me is to dive head first into work while I'm here -- W is always on the back of my mind, but time flies faster if I'm consumed with whatever it is I'm doing.

Finally, allow yourself to feel sad because it is a sad thing. An exciting thing also, but right now it seems hard to capture the excitement piece. Cry if you need to cry and vent to us and just go step by step. Were here for you and love you. (((Hugs)))

I'm not going to lie, I can't picture having to leave R, and I'm staying in denial that I'll ever have to. But I do know that you're a fantastic mom, and you're going to bring a lot to the kids you'll be working with every day.
