Valentine's Day

A friend put his name on a red plastic bucket. I ordered him some crayons, wonder markers and coloring books. I was going to get them anyway so I figured it could be for Valentines Day.

I have zero ideas for DH. But I need to come up with something

H and I are going to a nice dinner the weekend before with his sister and husband. This is nice because u don't recall doing much the year I was pregnant and last year we loved into our temp. apartment the next day so we didn't do anything either.

I will get DD a nice balloon ( she loves them but we don't get them often) and maybe a book or something? I still feel she has plenty for from Christmas.

As with most holidays, H and I don't exchange gifts anymore. We are spending a lot of money on our house right now ( and probably will be for the next few years) that's ok with us, we know we love each other

DH will be missing valentines. I figure well go see a movie since he likes that.

I like the idea of getting LO a balloon. She loves them. She still has unopened toys from christmas.

Not planning on getting anything for the kids - never did. For MH I was thinking about making reservations to a hibachi restaurant.

No plans for Valentines Day. I will get DH a card and some chocolate that he likes. He gets his SI magazine subscription renewed. LO won't get anything. I know the grandparents will get him stuff.

We have Snuggle Puppy. Love it!

DHs bday is 2/15 so that's our usual celebration. We are planning to go to a hibachi grill. I doubt we will buy any gifts since we are going to be putting money into new closet doors and updating the "updated" basement

No plans here. I'll be lucky if H remembers it even is Vday.

For the kids I will probably pick up something little from the dollar store. Smarties and some stickers for B, and maybe something fun for V to do too.

We wont be exchanging gifts and I dont have any plans to get DD anything either. We also dont have any plans currently but I'd really like to go for a horse drawn sleigh ride in a local forest (DD, DH, and I) and then out to a nice dinner (just DH and I) since we've never actually been out for V-Day. In the past we've never made a big deal about V-Day but now with a LO I'll take any excuse to go out .

DH and I have never celebrated Valentine's Day! I'm a bit of a grinch with this "holiday".

That said, now that I have a daughter I want to make it a fun day for her so I'm stealing annarose's idea of a balloon and we also have our mom and tot class that day. I'll dress her in pink and red.

My mom will babysit at some point in Feb, so we can do dinner and a movie.

I'm not a big fan of going out on Valentines day. The restaurants are all SO packed! We used to get a heartshaped pizza from Papa Johns every year but 2 years ago when I was pregnant, and starving, they totally screwed me by losing my order so that tradition ended lol.

I'm also the absolute worst at getting gifts for DH. I may get him some peanut m&m's this year and some shorts or something totally unromantic. lol, luckily he thinks Valentines is all about the girl anyway.

We're similar. We tried to do something for Valentine's Day the first couple years we were together but both were epic fails. We decided to avoid the day after that.

I'll probably get a card for J - something that plays a song or makes noise - but don't have anything else planned.

I just got a bunch of V-cards for the kiddos to exchange at school. I hate doing those dang cards....but I know we will be required to do it and every other mom will be doing them. Ugh. I will probably just get a card for DH. We really haven't celebrated on this holiday either.

Apparently I quote everything today...

DH and I don't do gifts. He makes me a nice dinner, and I usually put out. Everybody wins!

I usually do some sort of heart-shaped dessert for the whole family, but I'm hoping with it being on a weekend this year that ILs will volunteer to babysit overnight. (And I'll give a brief AW that DD had her first overnight a few weeks ago and did ok! I'm planning to night wean in the next week if all goes well.)

we're leaving the 14 to go on a cruise and will be gone for my birthday.

We will be on vacation with the kids, heading back from Disney. No plans.
