Mean Mom Monday!!! SAH Easter Edition!

Let's have some fun - Share the reasons you've been a Mean Mom... And with it having been Easter there should be plenty from overtired and out of routine kids...

1) Eldest told me to tell the Easter Bunny "Tell the EB to hide my basket so my brother can't find it until I get back"... Well, I handed over the message... EB hid her basket so good it took until mid-day today before she found it. Usually the EB leaves a picture on the camera as a "hint" for where to find it. Well, the EB left one of the little guy's basket, but hers was only on the dining table, not its final spot.. She was almost in tears not able to find it. It was everything I could muster to keep a straight face as I reminded her "Be careful what you wish for! You told the bunny to hide it so your brother couldn't find it!"... When she finally found it, it was in none other than her bedroom closet...  Which has about a 2' buffer zone of "Hoarders 10yo edition" that you can't get to it from... The EB did a GREAT job covering its tracks this year!!!  

I'm sure I'll think of more later, but that was the big one for the weekend...

Halfway through her Easter egg hunt S accidentally opened one of the plastic eggs and realized they had M&Ms in them. She decided that she had collected enough eggs and was opening them to eat the M&Ms . I took them away after the 3rd egg because she had decided she didn't want to eat lunch earlier and I didn't want to fill her up on candy. Huge tantrum followed, and I think everyone believes me now that she throws huge, over the top tantrums.

DS was a tantrum-throwing machine yesterday!

-I helped him feed the dog (carried the scoop over to the bowl for him to dump it in like we do EVERY day)

-I put milk on his cereal

-I put three books back on the shelf

-I wouldn't let him scale the wine rack

-I put ice in his water (which he normally looooves)

-I cooked dinner.

Terrible, mean mom right here.

Why oh why does DD HAVE to play with everything that is specifically NOT a toy?? I am a mean mom because:

I won't let her walk on the window sill facing our marble slab sun room floor.

I won't let her drink soy sauce from the bottle.

I won't let her unload forks and knives from the dishwasher.

I won't let her touch dead frogs on the street.

What am I doing wrong y'all? Enlighten me
