I've started to receive a few gifts of items that I wouldn't have bought myself but totally love.
Have you received anything that's you love 'just because' that's frivolous but so cute? Or have you splurged and bought anything yourself purely for the cuteness rather than practicality?
My BIL just got back from vacation and brought home these for our LO (my DH absolutely loves Jordans and we find it a novelty not living in the US):
My sister also got her an 'I heart NY' onesie which is kitsch but in a great way.
Those are super cute! I agree buying baby shoes before he/she can crawl is one of the most impractical things. I can't think of any other good examples other than a baby bunting snowsuit I got for DD but she did wear it once
DH just bought me a KS diaper bag as well (not the same one as above) but it was also my bithday gift. He would have bought it anyway so I insisted it be my Birthday gift. He hated my last one Vera Bradley. Which wasn't my style at all, and thought it was functional it just didn't look like me. I think I was just so excited about being a mom I got a "mom" bag. After 2+ years of that I wanted something different. I really love the KS one. As for baby shoes, yes they aren't walking in them, but DD always wore shoes when we went out. I just feel weird having them in only socks. She never fussed over them either. So at least the million pairs we had she actually wore! With this baby being a boy we probably won't do as many shoes but he has a couple pair passed down and I'm going to order a few probably too. We have the cutest photo of DD at about 5 monhts and its just her feet and mine and we are wearing matching shoes (denim Espadrilles) and I want to do something similar with DH and DS. Just for fun
