Hey ladies!! And lickwed - thanks for the check-in!! I LURVE Long Duck Dong!!! Lol!!

I am 6w4d today and had my fifth beta draw yesterday. Should be hearing back from my OB soon and hope to schedule my first u/s soon too! Still eating like a champ and although bouts of nausea have dissipated, they've been replaced by bouts of fatigue. BBs are sore, tender and heavy and dreams continue to be crazy & vivid!

QOTW: We are team Green and will remain team green as this pregnancy progresses. I don't have any type of inkling at all with this one. With my previous pregnancy, I had a strong feeling it was going to be a boy. And after our loss, I kept dreaming it was a boy. We will be happy either way...just want a healthy and happy baby Can't wait to read everyone's updates!!!

Hi All- I thought I was 7 weeks today but turns out I am actually 6w1d instead. I had a ton of really,really bad cramping and then some spotting in the days following that so they had me come in for a quick ultrasound this morning to make sure everything was ok. We got to see the heartbeat. Apparently I have some cysts on one of my ovaries as well. Otherwise midwife says everything looks good and I'm still supposed to go to my official "first" appointment on the 23rd.

We haven't discussed if we will remain team green or not - I think I am just so nervous waiting for first tri to be over that I haven't been able to think about anything else yet!

Thanks for the checkin lickwed! I am 22 weeks today. I am starting to feel more consistent movement and we bought a car yesterday to replace my non-family friendly Miata. We also have a top candidate for a name. We both like Miles.

H and I have both been sick the last 1-2 weeks but I'm getting a bit better. I still have occasional nausea which is annoying but I can deal as long as baby is OK.

Hi my lovely ladies! We are 10w5d today and I just got poked and prodded for my genetics testing. Next time I say I have to do bloodwork, someone remind me NOT to make it first thing in the morning. On a normal day they have a hard enough time finding a vein to use. This morning I got stuck in one arm and no blood came out. at all. So then they had to stick my other arm, but the only vein big enough to use was right up against the bone so that hurt like a mf-er.

We're still on the fence as to whether we'll find out or not this time around. We were team green last time, and I think H is leaning towards finding out this time but knowing him he'll change his mind like 20 more times between now and the 20 week scan. Because of genetic testing, we CAN find out early if we want to, but we told the doc to not tell us, which also means we can't go online to check the results hahaha.

winogirl - Glad to hear all is good with Baby Wino and that you guys heard a HB!! I have a feeling I may be measuring behind what I am based on my LMP. Last time I was 10 days behind my LMP, however everything was within range based on the u/s measurements!

flippinchica - Miles is a cute name! And yay for team blue!!

flyliceandcoffee I had the same issue on my appt Friday, they had to use my hand vein. The lady doing it said drink a ton before the next appt, it helps the blood draw.

We are going to be team green this time, this will be our last baby so we wanted to make it a surprise all the way to the end.

I am 9 weeks today, feeling ok. Very sluggish and unpretty. I think this baby is going to be a boy, not sure why but I do lol

Hi everyone! I am super excited to be included in this check in, although my nerves are a wreck because I'm still waiting to hear from my doctors office about my blood draw this morning. I have been taking HPT's every other day since my blood draw last Monday and my lines have gotten progressively darker so I feel like I should be in the clear but PGAL brain has me worried and I'd like to hear from the office as reassurance.
If all is well, I think I'm 4w6d with standard early symptoms like waves of nausea, dizziness, and the ever increasing sore boobs. I also can't believe that suggestive cravings have already set in!
I hate not knowing, so once we are able to find out if we are team pink or team blue we will definitely find out. Of course, I don't care one way or the other but I think I would prefer a boy. I didn't have any inkling one way or the other last time, probably because it was still early, but test results let us know that our little nugget was a girl.

All quiet this week. I am 13weeks 3ish days. Waiting on my Materniti21 results and then I've agreed to let DH start telling the world, lol.

We are Team Green. We were with DD also. We figure there are very few happy surprises anywhere nearly as big left in life so we want to take advantage of it. DH loved being the person to tell me giel or boy after she came out.

DD has her head and heart dead set on a sister, she will not be swayed. So in some respects not having to deal with her lack of love for a brother might be a good thing... I however, honestly have no feeling one way or another at this point, but I never did with DD either.

It's been quite a week already and it's only Tuesday. Yesterday I had severe back pain and thought I was going into labor. (With DD I had bad back labor). I had a u/s and all was well with baby - thank God! I ended up going to the E.R. and the dr found gallstones but isn't for sure that's what caused all the pain. After getting meds I finally felt better and went home. Thankfully DH is off work today and is able to watch me and help with DD. I hope I have no more episodes of this. In other news, I will be 16 weeks on Friday (by measurements, I'm 15 weeks today by EDD). My sister, BIL and baby nephew are arriving on Friday for a visit which I'm looking forward to and if all goes well at my Dr appt on Friday we will come "out" to our families!

QOTW - we are team blue. I guessed team blue all along. My hunch was because I've been pg 4 times, 3 times with Boys, 1 time with DD. With my boys, my boobs get bigger with DD they never changed, at all. So that was my "sign" it was a boy.

Thanks for the check-in shout out. I'm 6w1d today. Overall I'm feeling pretty good. I haven't had any spotting so that helps me feel a bit better. I also made it past my last loss date. Still hoping and praying this is our rainbow baby.

QOTW: of course healthy is first...but if I'm being honest, I have 2 boys, and I would love a little girl! On the other hand we have all boy "stuff" so it'd be convenient. I've had a few girl dreams, so maybe. We definitely hope to find out, so I'll keep you all posted!

Yay! I get to check in!

I am all of 4 weeks and 3 days (woohoo). My betas on 11 dpo and 13 dpo were good - I had a doubling time of 39 hours. My first ultrasound (with the RE) is on the 22nd, which will be 6w,4d followed by my second one (with my OB) on the 30th, which will be 7w,5d. That is a big one for me because with my mmc it looked like we lost the baby somewhere between 6 and 7 weeks judging by size. I don't know if there was a heartbeat at any point as our initial ultrasound then wasn't scheduled until 9 or 10 weeks and I ended up in the ER right before that appointment.

As for symptoms, I have been on and off nauseated, had pretty frequent headaches, been a little dizzy, tired, occasionally kind of crampy, and my boobs hurt way more than they did last time (which I am holding onto as a good sign - even if it is too early to know for sure). I felt icky all morning and kept eating crackers and then I felt good for several hours and started worrying something was wrong. I may or may not have grabbed my boobs in the ladies' room to make sure they were still sore.... PgAL Brain sucks.

QOTW: Currently we are team green (obviously), but we will find out. H and I want the same gender and I have a strong feeling it is that gender, but I don't want to jinx it (yes, ridiculous - and kind of mean) so I am not going to say at this point I will let you know if I was right in about 12 weeks when we know for sure.

I'm 11w1d today. Just had another appt and they decided not to change my due date. Yay! Gave bood for the Mat21. I was so freaking dehydrated from the massive stomach flu I had over the weekend she couldn't find a vein. The doc also attributed my spotting to the violent puking....lovely. Little Bears heartbeat was 160 and "he" was moving wildly. (Only had a Doppler but we could hear all the whooshing.

QOTW: Really at the end of the day we want a healthy baby. Being 40 I cant imagine how Id take a loss or other major issue. Barring that, we'd love another boy. Mother daughter relationships are so complicated and I'm not sure I'm a tea set/doll kinda mom.

AFM, 30w2d today and it's an I'm so over this day. Just tired and nauseous and starting to get uncomfortable. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I will be induced the day after my EDD, if he doesn't come on his own, so I can say with 100% certainty that 10 weeks from today I will be holding an outside baby. In the mean time I'm just taking it one day at a time. I have a ton of stuff to do with work before my leave rolls around and I only have so much energy to get it done, so I don't want things to move too quickly. Really I have about six more hard weeks to get through there and then things slow down drastically until he arrives. I can do this.

QOTW: We are team blue for the second time. We found out at about 11.5 weeks when my Counsyl blood test results came in. While I love reading the birth stories about people who didn't find out and how it felt in that moment for it to be revealed, I just don't have it in me to be team green. I like knowing that I have exactly what we need in place ahead of time.

10w3d here. Not much to report but I am ready to get out of the first trimester so I can breath easier. I can't believe I am a 1/4 a way through the pregnancy though. Nausea comes and goes and doesn't bother me. The biggest complaint is the horrible exhaustion and back aches.

QOTW: We will be team finding out. I have my MaterniT21 testing at my 12 week appointment. I am feeling boy. I have been right on all of my other kids. We shall see.

 This type of thought had a lot to do with me thinking DD was going to be a boy. I had this picture in my head from the moment DH and I started talking about a family that was being parents to 2 boys. We had a boys name picked out in about 30sec. and it just felt right that I would be a Mom to a boy. The thought of a daughter kind of freaked me out a bit, made me very nervous. I was a huge tomboy, played tons of sports, am an engineer and mostly interact with men at work and kind of outside of work too. I never really feel at home or totally comfortable amongst a group of women. So, I was a bit shocked when DH announced to me that the baby was a girl. In the end all the worries just fall away and you realize building a relationship whether with a son or daughter is really the same process, it may be differnt as they get older but setting the foundation at the beginning is really the same.

Thank you! I literally could have written your post - tomboy, always pictured a son, feel out of place with groups of women, work in a male dominated industry - so it's super comforting to read those words and your thoughts on laying the foundation. I even got a little teary... Lol

Glad everyone is doing well! I'm impressed that so many of you aren't finding out the sex--I would never (and didn't, with DD) have that kind of willpower!
