I think I may tell dh I validate his feels next time he says I love you. Lol. He already thinks I'm crazy, why not have a little fun.
This morning I was doing laundry and my husband came up behind me and gave me a hug and told me he loves me and appreciates what I do for our family. I told him I validate his feelings and he just laughed and walked away. So then I walked in to the kitchen and gave him a hug and thanked him for cleaning it. I ask if he validated my feeling and he said "no, but I'll accept them". What?
Wow! I love that he just did that! How sweet to acknowledge and appreciate what you do!
Jo is obsessed with climbing chairs now. Mostly so she can try to get to the table. She's smart and will push chairs around if I have moved them away. Ugh. I'm proud of you kid, but why?
DS does this too. He's just so eager to help out with all the food prep. This is why we got him a play kitchen for Christmas. It's a great diversion!
I'm getting ready for military training. I bought an all on one kettle coffee pot thing so I can make my own coffee. I hate folders and prefer mild flavored coffees. I want to try the raspberry chocolate stuff that the coffee place in the mall sells
You'll be gone for three weeks for military training? Thank you for serving our country!
I told myself I would go outside and shovel once H fell asleep for his nap. I am so lazy today.
I told my husband I wanted to go to the gym during A's nap. Now I am in bed under the blankets thinking about how I don't want to have to trek out in the snow
I went out to pick up DH'S jacket from the cleaners and get more books from the library. His jacket want ready and the library was closed for a staff in service. Now I'm home, tired, with no jacket or books.

I'm really jealous of all the talk of snow. I went to grad school in Boston so a bunch of my friends on my Facebook feed are talking about playing in the snow with their kids. My kids don't even know what snow is.

That is so sad! Come visit and play in the snow here. I can't imagine not making snowmen, skiing, sledding, etc!
SAK come live in San Francisco, we can trade places. I think we even have the same number of kids. Who would even notice??
I grew up in the east bay and when I decided to move to Vermont everyone was all, "but it's COLD." I actually dislike the heat/humidity of summer more than the cold of winter.
Haha CurlieWhirlie. DH and I grew up in Ohio. I did grad school in Rochester, NY. We've lived in SF for 10 years now and will never move back ever. I don't miss weather. DS1 has been in snow when visiting family and in Tahoe. He was unimpressed.

My mom grew up in Ohio. She moved to California as soon as she turned 18. I did really enjoy living in Boston for all the seasons, but I always knew I would move back to Cali eventually.

My husband took both kids to their cousins birthday party by himself because I had to work. I got home and spent like twenty minutes cleaning up in the yard (even though it was RAINING) so now I feel justified sitting on my ass for an hour. Plus I have to pump.
"Annie, Annie, are you ok? You! (Point to bystander). Call 911!"
When I recertified last year, we had the dummy connected to the computer. My arms and shoulders were so sore the next day. I thankfully have never been part of a code. You have my respect for doing ER, hq.
I can't imagine how a CPR class could fill up an entire day. I know it's not easy, but an entire day seems excessive.
I'm a cpr instructor, and the re-cert classes are short. But for first time there are videos, demonstrations and then practical application. It gets even longer if you do cpr/first aid. It also depends on how annoying and drawn out the instructor is.

I took a first aid class in college that included getting CPR certified at the end. It was a WHOLE semester. I liked it though.
SAK, there are actually places within a 30 minute drive of SF where you can be pretty far from your nearest neighbor and surrounded by woods. You just have to either have millions of dollars, or be willing to live in a shack for half a million.

My daughter goes to a montessori school. She doesn't write yet but it's typical for montessori to actually teach cursive first because it's easier for kids to learn than block letters, apparently.
