If kids don't ever learn cursive what will happen to signatures on credit cards or official documents or getting an autograph? Just a thought.
Most of the rest of the world is using chip/pin cards for credit cards. A pin is regarded as more secure than a signature for verification. I'm not sure if/when this will become the standard in the U.S.

In a show of epic maturity I just hung up on J.
But seriously dude, if you tell me you're giving to be home at a certain time, it's only common courtesy to let me know when you're going to be two hours later than you'd said. Thanks for not telling me at all until I called you. I totally get your confusion though, it's not like we've had this same. exact. conversation. a hundred different times now FFS.

I have gotten into so many arguments over this exact thing.

This. I have also hung up on MH for this same thing.

Omg did you marry my ex boyfriend?
It's a good thing you upgraded to a polite Canadian, Maple

It depends, was he a ruggedly handsome wildly successful younger man?

Everyone's signature would just be an 'x' then. Lol
Why can't they just learn their name? And mine looks like a big scribble bc I've always hated cursive so much. I had a J and an os and it made me stabby every time.

Men. Gotta love 'em, but can't help wondering why even the ones that love fancy watches seem to always lose track of time.
Sigh. I wish I looked this awesome when I fight with DH:

I have also had this exact conversation, LOL.
I'm also glad to learn that I'm not the only one.
Seriously though -- wasn't there a study released a while back about how a lot of people find home to be the most stressful environment? Maybe that's why there's no rush to get home. Too bad those of us who are home FT don't have the option.
I've been trying to shuffle things around so that our evenings are less full of chores and have more quality time. But there's only so much one can do.

Lately my only alone time has been work and grocery shopping and neither can be considered "alone time." Therefore I am hiding out at Starbucks and will not be grocery shopping today. I just really need a break.
I beat the second one out of him, especially after having kids. So he's just sort of settled into just doing the first one.
I just wish he considered my time as important as his new business partners. He'd never show up two hours after telling them when he'd get there without calling and profusely apologizing, at the very least.
Also, freezorburn doesn't it make you want to just smash those very expensive watches?
Also, I really want some cute coffee mugs. The ones I have now are too small and just white. Where is the best place to shop for cute coffee mugs?
I got some of mine from Pier One, but they're boring. They're large though. I got some large, cute ones from Michaels of all places. And those are super inexpensive, too.
I had to write a paragraph in cursive for the GRE in 2003. It was to certify that I was actually taking the test somehow. It was one of the most difficult things of the GRE. Especially because I had just been studying Russian for a year and they commonly write in cursive, but their letters are completely different. I felt like I was writing in my nonnative language.
I wish potters threw plates, but apparently they're really hard and really expensive.
They take up a lot of kiln shelf space, so they are a much less efficient use of time and space. Plus, there is a lot more clay "lost" (really it's recycled, but it's work) to trimming than with something taller. Plus, they are harder, more prone to cracking.
