Well, at around 28w things got really bad after my labor scare (12hr contractions 2-3 min apart, brought on by dehydration from stomach flu). I had to take it really easy after that. At 30w things got really hard physically. At 35w things got pretty much impossible. The last two weeks (delivered at 38w4d) were torture, not to scare you. I just had to REALLY focus on getting through each day, then the next. Like, my motto was, "Just keep going, get through today..." I had a scheduled c-section so I had a solid countdown, and I just kept in mind like a beacon. I was still getting around minimally, but I hurt everywhere, my pelvic girdle pain was intense, breathing was difficult, and my swelling was bad. When they pulled the first baby out it was like instant release though, I mean I had major abdominal surgery so I was hurting from that, but I felt SO MUCH BETTER. As soon as baby B moved out of my lung space I could breath better, and I just felt this HUGE relief when they took them out.
anotherdreamer thanks for your response, you aren't scaring me I like to know what I have to look forward to. I am a ftm too so all this is new to me, I almost feel silly and that it's all in my head but I just don't want to even move.
Honestly, I can hardly remember it. So the good news is, you'll probably eventually block it out. Lol
I can't remember exactly when it hit, but that last month or so was brutal. (I delivered at 38+4.) I'm a SAHM and I pretty much only left the house to pick up DD from school and go to dr appts. I only got up from the couch to get food and use the restroom. Just trying to do my hair and makeup (which only takes like 15 min) left me completely exhausted.
I only made it to 34w, but things were getting increasingly difficult for the last couple of weeks. I started WFH 2x a week bc I just couldn't do the commute (40 min each way, city driving) and I was exhausted just getting a shower/dressed. Hang in there.

I've noticed a speeding downward spiral of what was once a slow process of slowing down. I think it will be easier for me once I get to the elusive OB appointment that will schedule my induction or csection. I'm ready for some sort of defined time frame or a circle on the calendar.
I was chasing two kiddos at home, so I think my wall came a bit earlier. I want to say that the last 7-8 weeks really did me in. I just remember walking around and feeling like a baby was going to fall out of me at all times. By the end, if I did anything but lie down, I had horrible hip and pelvic pain. It is no joke.

I was put on bed rest early, 22 weeks for a shortened cervix. Around 35 weeks my dr said I could get up and wall around more if I wanted. I made it to 36w3. But I agree with pp it does get harder towards the end but you completely forget about it once they're here. I had trouble walking up the stairs or really anywhere towards the end and could only eat very small meals because there was zero room in my belly. I took it day by day, I was just happy every night that it was one more day I carried them. Also like pp the relief of pressure after one baby out is amazing! It's like you can breathe again. By the second it's like a complete transformation. Great job ladies you are almost there!
I never really felt like I hit the wall. I got tired more easily in the last few weeks of my pregnancy (my girls were delivered at 38 weeks), but I never really got to the point where I was in pain or anything. (And I certainly didn't get to the point where I was like "I'm so over this pregnancy thing, just get them out.") My feet were swollen so badly from 32 weeks on though - I used to refer to them as "the hams" - and they DID sometimes get mildly painful, but I found compression helped (wrapped in ace bandages or in tied sneakers).
