Even though it took a lot of motivation (I keep hearing my dr tell me that exercise aids in labor and delivery), I did pretty good last week. I have found that if I work out, I sleep pretty well ( pregnancy standards) that night. I was able to fit in exercise, somehow, all seven days. I pretty much crashed at the end of each day though, some with aches and pains.
- leg/ arm work out and cardio ( 2 days) - prenatal yoga and cardio ( 2 days) - cardio - Saturday morning was gorg here so we walked to our favorite breakfast place and back - that counts, right? - yesterday was gorg too in the city of Boston so we spent the day outside walking the city ( stopping for lunch and ice cream, of course), but boy were my legs and feet sore last night!
Got in my 2 spin classes and a few walks with the dog. Need to get back on arms/abs this week. Had a bad night of pregsomnia last night and not looking forward to teaching class this morning. Come on nap time.
I'm going to start checking in here now too! The weather is nicer and it's been motivating me to get back out.
I'm used to running hills and doing a workout at the playground afterward at the park (hill is about a half kilometer up followed by pull ups, tricep dips, planking and squats). Now, I'm taking the longer path up the hill and just doing my dips and squats. However, I went yesterday (and then took the dogs on a good long walk after supper) and have plans to go again tonight, wednesday and saturday. Helps that my friends all hold one another accountable!
ETA: Any advice on better core/stomach workouts I can be doing? I'd like to be incorporating them now as well, but situps are a no go lol

I got in my Pilates, but that's about it. I missed my long run this weekend because my car broke down
But I'm making up for it this week. I'm going to get in my Pilates, then this weekend a friend and I are going for a run and then to a blogging event with yoga! Depending on when trial ends, I may even get in a weekday run!
tatersalad, I'm so impressed that you lead a spin class! I hope it goes well today and you get that much needed nap.
megd893, the weather is a great motivator, plus all that sun makes everything better. Hmm...I have no advice on ab work outs. Have you tried prenatal yoga? I have the Tracy Anderson Pregnancy Project DVDs , and the beginning months, we did a few ab exercises, but none now.
billyhorrible, I hope trial ends early for u- for running and just general relaxation reasons . Pilates is prob like my yoga sessions- they do wonders for all the aches and pains.

This weekend doesn't count... It was our anniversary so we spent it eating and sitting around.
During the week I did alright! A few very slow runs and long walks outside with DD in the stroller. Spring is definitely helping my motivation to leave the house! I also made it to a couple of classes but I find that I have to modify almost everything and take a break to go pee every 10 minutes!

megd893 I do standing core work with a medicine ball that is definitely safe to do during pregnancy (whenever I get around to doing it). Maybe try something like that?
tatersalad - I have some kettlebells so maybe I can look into using those. Good call thanks so much! txngrl31 - I was doing an at home DVD as well and it's toned down as well. I'd like to have a strong core going into this delivery if possible! Thanks

I did two gym sessions! Then on Friday I popped down to use the treadmills for 2x 10min walks to get my step count up. Then the weekend I completely slacked off. My aim is to walk throughout my working day.
