Mom2Ms, I am glad to hear that he has been cleared and will recover. At this point, I am focusing my prayers on you and your DD because I know both of you need some peace of mind from this incident. I know we have all been on pins and needles to hear that your son is okay.
It's standard for CPS to do a follow up at your house. They'll want to see that you have at least a weeks worth of food and that your kids have safe places to sleep and that you don't have harmful chemicals laying in places where the kids can get them. They'll take lots of pictures (especially of things that corroborate your story, like the stone floor) and it'll be all over. Hang in there!
Thank-you all so much. Your kind words touch my heart. I have faith that time heals everything. And we begin the healing process tomorrow. It's extremely difficult for me to be in the kitchen, but I know time will desk that. Poor DD's birthday is tomorrow....

I can't tell you how much I could come give you a hug!! I'm so so so sorry. I know how awful it is replaying moments like that over and over. I feel such love and compassion for you right now (creepy internet stranger? Maybe, sorry) and if you're religious which it sounds like you are at least a little take heart that he'll help heal the hurt too!
So glad to hear everything is okay. I cant even imagine how terrifying that would be! We are all here for you Mom2Ms!
Your poor DD Give that girl extra cuddles and maybe ask CPS if they have any tips to help her get through this as positively as possible? They may have some good ideas or resources for you to help her (and you) get through this. Just know that routine for them to do this and, as traumatizing as it is for you to go through all of that, I'm glad that they do this in your area to screen for possible abuse cases.
You're a wonderful mama and you will get through this! Creepy internet love
Oh honey, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I'm glad to hear that you're home. I'm continuing to pray for you all that you're able to heal physically and emotionally.
So glad your son is going to be okay! I can't imagine going through that interrogation, but at least they're covering their bases for the sad cases of child abuse out there. From here on out, I'm sure it's just a formality (as you know), but still nerve-wrecking I'm sure. I hope your daughter is still able to enjoy her birthday- poor girl.
