I had a moby wrap that I used when both were tiny and loved it. BUT it is a bit hard to take on and off when you are out and about - the thing is long and it is hard not to let it fall on the ground while wrapping it around yourself. I have a mei tai that Abby liked a lot when she was a bit older but Jack didn't seem to like it too much - he wanted to face out. I hated the ring sling that my sister let me borrow. I don't know why but I could never get the rings in a comfortable place maybe because I'm short? Or maybe I just didn't know what I was doing.

With E I had a MOBY. I hated it. There was to much fabric and it takes a lot of practice to get it right. This time around I am going with the K'Tan for the first 4-6 months. it is much easier to use and less fabric. I am thinking about a Tula after that since everyone raves about them.

I used a Baby Hawk mei tai and didn't like it that much. I found the newborn carry to be really awkward and M seemed uncomfortable so it went largely unused during the first couple months. After that, it was easier to use but made my back hurt once M got a little bigger (maybe by 20#? I don't remember). I also didn't like how the straps wrap around near the baby's legs--they always seemed to push into her thighs-she didn't complain but It didn't look comfortable for long. If/when we have another baby, I'm going to try something else!

I had a Moby wrap and loved it. It is way easier than it looks! I also have an Ergo. I liked it for front carry but never felt comfortable with back carry unless I had help getting the kid in.
mightybee, I watched the video for that wrap and it looks great! Super simple, and cheap! Thanks for that rec. It's supportive enough for a newborn?
aimeefarrahfowler, that is such a sweet offer! I am going to PM you.
Yes, I started using it around 2 weeks with P. She is snug as a bug in there! There is a little learning curve with feeling comfortable using it, but I think you'll find that with all carriers.
My carrier is my number 1 item this time around. I don't think I could survive 2 children some days without it!
Just to throw another option out without reading all the way through one of my FB friends is obsessed with her Tula, I've heard they are a little pricey but she loves it!
