Reality Bites was totally my blueprint for how I thought life would go...
I also once, while waiting for dialup AOL to connect to then only have it work at a snails pace, said to my mom...this internet thing is never going to catch on. Yes, feel free to come to me for stock predictions anytime
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
Lol!!! I remember I could go make a sandwich while waiting for the dial up to connect, wannabmama!! Man I'm so glad there wasn't much of social media when I was in HS or college!! (Well, the earlier years anyway!)

My best friend in high school had a car phone...the kind you had to carry on essentially a briefcase. It was the coooooolest.
MH is five years younger than I am and he had an entirely different childhood. He had pretty ubiquitous Internet and even the start of social media during high school and college...whole different world (I'm with you agpjt413 I'm soooo glad I missed out on that)!

I'm in limbo land too. I totally watched You Can't Do That, loved Zima. But I love Lizzie Mcguire and watch it in college. That brought back some nice memories.

My parents sent me to college with a cell phone only for emergencies because it was so expensive to make a call. It looks just like the one Zack Morris had in Saved by the Bell. And I remember freshman year of college waiting for "telnet" to dial in for HOURS so we could check our email. We'd hear a busy signal for hours and then when it would ring we'd get all excited and go running to the computer.
OMG yes!!! The "brick" phone!!! luvmyponies - I was sent to college out of state without a cell! I asked my mom recently how she'd feel about it now and she said "oh hell no! You'd have a phone!!" My how times have changed from the 90s!!
LOL.. I am sliming all of you. How about Fraggle Rock? That was a huge deal for us. Our whole family watched it.
I knew people with the brick phone, but I was the coolest when I got a pager. And then you could page people with all kinds of cool words made out of numbers. haha.
vh2014 I loved Fraggle Rock!! We didn't get it on the tv at my house so I remember it being a very special thing I got to watch at my grandparents' house.
I think I didn't have a cell phone until I drove cross country...at 21. And I went to college on the west coast with parents on the east coast! I want my kid to have a phone as soon as they can handle it, at least for emergencies...esp when I think of all the times a phone would have been really handy growing up!

OMG ladystrat!!! Double Dare!!! I always thought it was so weird Marc Summers hosted b/c I later learned he has serious OCD issues...probably rivaling Howie Mandel! I still try to catch Marc S. on "Unwrapped" on the Food Network when I can. (It's been awhile though so not sure if it's on anymore.)
Well this hit awfully close to home! I loved the game shows on Nickelodeon when I was a kid. I still get excited when I see Marc Summers. I wanted to be on Double Dare so badly. And I was just telling my husband about that game show where they were looking for specific items in rooms of a house. Of course every drawer was packed full, so by the time they were done tearing the place apart, they were up to their waists in junk.
ladystrat--I totally forgot about that house game show. I was obsessed with it and would have loved to have been a contestant!

I LOVED Fraggle Rock!! I remember writing about it in Kindergarten, but I called it "Fraggo Rock" - and my teacher drew a big, red circle around it with a question mark. Apparently she had never heard of Fraggos or Fraggles.

I loved double dare. I always wanted make it to the obstacle course to run through the slime. Anyone else watch the Nickelodion show Hey Dude with Christine Taylor?
