I know, I know, I'm finally surfacing after a while! Work, school, and home life with wife and baby have kept me VERY busy! To be honest this forum has slipped my mind a bit!
Gray is doing great! He's creeping up on 6 months now (next Wednesday) and although he's not quite crawling yet, he is very active! He is rolling and wiggling all over the place! He is enjoying his baby einstein jumper a lot! We've been reading to him more frequently now to coincide with a sleep schedule. bath time, book time, one last feeding, and then bed time. Ten Apples Up on Top and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see are the two books in rotation!
Gray has become quite the chatter box too, he was mixing it up pretty well but now he's stuck on one or two "words", one of them is Daa-daa, so of course I'm thrilled! Gray has also moved on to his first "solids", first up is mango baby food which he seems to love!
For some reason I thought he was a little older and on the verge of crawling. That's awesome though. I bet he goes crazy in his jumper. Ten Apples and Brown Bear are great. Our older guy likes to "read" those two to our little guy. He knows the words verbatim to some parts and others he makes up a new version with the pictures. It's adorable and hilarious. I'm always amazed when kids have entire books memorized. I can't remember Jack and a three year old knows the order and color of all the animals?!?
Our guy wasn't gaining as much as he should so we started with solids a few weeks ago. He loves them, too. Each time is like the first though. Same WTF is this face followed by some confusion in how to eat it. Then in one or two spoonfuls he remembers and gets pretty pissed if we don't shovel it in fast enough. He also is a huge fan of the mango.
