So DS for the last two days has had an awful diaper rash which he's only ever had one. It's always after he poops. I'm trying to figure out if it could be from teething because he's had a little diarrhea to.. Anyone else had this with teething?
We've been dealing with it on and off for the past couple weeks. I got some extra strength desitin (purple kind) and put it on DS before bed and he usually is healed up in the morning.
Thanks guys! I put some organic coconut oil on his butt before bed because the desitin wasn't cutting it. I will have to go try the extra strength of the coconut oil doesn't make a dent!
Chloe is the same. She gets terrible rash of we don't constantly change diapers. It's usually on her grumpy days too. I use coconut oil, air drying and in a pinch, I'll use Desitin.
I'm not sure about teething, but DD was constipated for a few days and was getting a bad rash from pooing so frequently. I put two big spoonfuls of baking soda in her bath and let her soak for ten minutes, rinse after soaking, and she was cleared up in two days. I also found that diaper creams irritated it worse and just use Vaseline now.
We've been dealing with this off and on. Desitin works for her but the ladies at her daycare told me they love the Triple paste. I think I might pick up some since we are almost out of the Desitin.

We've been dealing with this lately too. I use coconut oil at every change and put Desitin on at night if it's bad. Seems to be keeping it under control.
Only using Desitin because we got a bunch of free samples at the pedi's office... my favorite diaper cream is Burt Bee's but I keep forgetting to pick some up.
I use desitin every night and haven't had too many issues but when she first started teething I noticed she was a little pink and the doctor said it's common for them to get a rash when teething.
