Ok so I've never been to one before. It's a cancer benifit thing (Relay for Life) I'm just not sure what is typical. Like can I get away with jeans and a really cute top and boots or are they normally a little more dressed up than that?
Also its in the town where I grew up, out in the country. I mean cow farms, hay fields, dirt road, one stop light town, country. I actualy didn't know we had a winery untill the invite. So I don't know if that would matter at all.
Side note: my graduating class was a whopping total of 64 kids.
I'm a little confused. What kind of event is this? Is this the overnight Relay for Life event where you camp out and take turns walking around a track all night? If so, then I'd say wear something you feel comfortable walking around in all night. Most people that I've seen attend this event do so in jeans or yoga pants and a tshirt. If it's a benefit to raise money for a local Relay for Life event, then I agree with PPs that you should wear something dressier.
Also is there someone you know who's familiar with the event and could maybe advise you on what to wear? Maybe the Relay for Life in your town is different than this and just happens to go by the same name?
No it's a benefit for relay for life. Although my aunt does wamt me to do the relay too.
+1. I went wine tasting last weekend and wore a maxi and light sweater. Other people I went with wore dressed-up jeans, but for a benefit, I'd step it up just a notch.
