GTKY: Favorite Part About Coming Home From Vacation

Hey All!!

I've been on a small vacation for the last few days and just got home late last night/today. It got me thinking about my favorite parts about coming home from a vacation. Don't get me wrong, I love going on trips - but I also love coming home!!!

What are your favorite parts about coming home from a vacation??

Mine are:

My own bed
Seeing my dogs
Having a good poop... seriously, I have to poop as soon as we pull in the driveway!

My own bed, seeing my pup if she wasn't with us, and not having to get up and do anything for 24 hours (I always try to give myself a day of rest at home)

Taking a long, hot shower

Not living out of a suitcase

Seeing my two dogs

Am I the only one that is having trouble coming up with a positive? All I think about is having to unpack, doing laundry, needing to grocery shop, returning to work, etc. I love being on vacation! The day it ends... Not so much.

I hate all of the laundry and running around to do errands. I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation

Sleeping in my own bed. That's all I can come up with.

I like the "smell of home" when we first walk in. It's comfortable and familiar, and I relax instantly.

Except for the time we came home from our honeymoon. There had been a mix-up at the hotel, and someone put 2 extra dinners in a bag with our gifts. My ILs had dropped off our gifts at our house after the wedding, so the food just sat rotting for like 10 days.

And +1 for being back in my own bed with my dogs.

Sleeping in my own bed, and pooping in my own bathroom....which I almost just combined to "pooping in my own bed". Time for lunch.

-Sleeping in my own bed
-Having coffee out of my own coffee machine, and that I don't have to pay for coffee
-Not living out of a suitcase, having more outfit choices

I like having my own pillows and that feeling like you can totally relax/be comfortable in your own space. But I'm with COCO, I much prefer vacation to a day of work unpacking and gearing up for real life back home.

Coming home to a clean house / clean sheets and sleeping in them!
