Uterus Size/position in 2nd+ pregnancies

This is a good question, and I don't know the answer. I've only had transvaginal u/s so far this time myself. As for DS, I have started to teach him about being gentle with Mommy's tummy. That lesson hasn't really stuck yet, but I figure I still have some time before he can do damage...I hope!

I had an abdominal one at 7w3d with #2. That was their plan for this one at 7w1d, but we declined all together.

It is a comfort level thing. The uterus does expand more rapidly and moves out of the pelvic cavity more quickly. When you can Palpatine it above your pubic bone, that is the point to exercise more caution, most likely.

Ha, my DD is super rough and I am worried about her delivering an unexpected pelvic blow, because she has done it several times in the recent past and caught me off guard. I have been trying to be more conscious about it and have been trying to tell her to be gentle, but good luck with the concept of gentle to a toddler!

As far as position, I had a normally positioned uterus pre-kiddos, but at my most recent ultrasound (which was to follow up on a cyst) they told me that my ute is now retroverted. I am hoping that explains some of the low back pain and slight urinary incontinence that I have been experiencing, ah, the things we do to have kids!
