Safe way to treat post-nasal drip?

I'm assuming this is allergy related, but normally I don't have bad allergies.  However, all the pollen and mold and all the rain . . . I'm dying here.  Sore throat, runny nose and the drop is making me nauseated.  I can't drink much more water unless I want to move into the bathroom and sleep on the toilet.  Normally I'd take benadryl or something similar, but they make me sleepy and as sleepy as I already am, I am afraid it will completely knock me out.

Any suggestions?

No other suggestions here, sorry. Maybe take the Benadryl at night and see if you get any lingering (good) effects during the following day?

Have you ever used a Neti-Pot? I use one anytime I fee like I have a cold coming on. It really helps clear out the sinuses. I don't have allergies, but my step dad does and he uses his twice a day during allergy season and he said it keeps the allergens out of his sinuses and helps a lot. I got this one at Walgreens.

Have you tried just a simple saline nasal spray? That's what works for me when I'm having allergy flares. Also, I think Robitussin and Mucinex are OK to take during pregnancy.

Neil Med/saline rinse. My ENT (ear nose throat dr) has me use it daily. It really helps me. Someone's when my allergies are bad I use it 2x a day (like a Nettie pot but easier to use and doesn't feel as weird)

I wouldn't take Benadryl pg personally because it makes me too loopy. Neti pot. Saline soray. Breathe right strips

One of my worst pg symptoms is a cold the whole pregnancy. It's not a real cold but it's bizarre. Two days post delivery of my dd it was gone

With DS I had horrible sinus and allergy issues. Saline nasal spray and robitussin saved me. I wasn't allowed to use the robitussin dm or mucinex. I hope this helps.

I recommend the neti-pot. My husband has terrible allergies and he uses one all the time.

I did the neti pot. I'd forgotten how weird that feeling was. It's helped a little. I hope this is allergies and not a pregnancy thing because it's driving me crazy. I will take some Benadryl tonight. Blah. There is nettle in the pregnancy tea I drink, but I don't think that's helping much.

This is bullshit. I rarely have allergies this bad. I feel like my head is being stuffed with wet cotton.
