Monday Randoms… anything at all!

It's been a slow weekend over here… let's liven this place up a little bit. Did you do anything exciting this weekend?  Tell a story about LO?  Rant or rave? AW?  Come back ladies, I miss you!

It was a pretty quiet weekend around here. Yesterday DD fell asleep on me which never, ever happens… I loved every minute of it! She's so busy and crazy lately that it was so sweet to just cuddle with her while she slept and quietly snored. I'm trying to enjoy as much solo time as possible with her before her little sister comes along in 7 or so weeks!

Speaking of which… I'm 33 weeks pregnant and yesterday it hit me that I've done NOTHING. The nursery is a disaster, I haven't sorted through any of DD's old clothes, we don't have a single pack of diapers.. and over on my June board they are all packing their hospital bags.

Here is a bump photo that DH took last week… I like it because you can't tell that I'm wearing pyjamas and no makeup. Lol.

I'm just stressing out. We want to adjust DD's nap because she seems ready for only 1 but falls asleep a lot earlier than we'd like or gets super cranky. Adjusting her routine will mean adjusting DS's routine, which isn't really possible 2 days a week because of preschool. Thankfully, preschool is only for another month, so maybe this will work out for the summer.
My neck/upper back is still bugging me from my accident, and I'm frustrated that it is taking so long to heal. I'm also worried that I'll need to get a lawyer involved if insurance denies the claim, which I'd really prefer not to have to do.

LOL about not having anything done. STMs don't stress about the same things FTMs do. If I wasn't high risk of PTL with DD, I wouldn't have had much done early either. Are the hospital bag lists on J15 pretty reasonable?

My LO is having a verbal explosion! It is so fun because she is saying new words everyday out of the blue.

redfraggle - I don't remember reading about your accident. I'm so sorry you are still in pain. Have you been going to a chiropractor or found anything that helps? That really sucks

My mom bought DD a bubble lawnmower and she is obsessed with it! I have a feeling we will be blowing through the bubble liquid all summer long. I really like that it gets her outside and movin

Just took DD2 to the pediatrician and she has gained 6oz since birth 4 days ago and got a clean bill of health... Woo! She has her days/nights switched and I forgot how hard it is to "sleep when the baby sleeps". Her name is Ca.dence Ce.celia- I call her CeCe and my DH calls her Cady. I have been so thankful for DHs help around the house and extra time spent with DD1. I need to pick out a good Father's Day gift!

redfraggle, Hope that you start to feel better soon, and hope that you can figure out something for nap time as well! We were on such a great nap routine… one long nap a day, but lately she wants to nap earlier and then by late afternoon she's so miserable.

I think I only posted once about the accident, probably in a randoms thread. It was a couple months ago, and it was a pretty minor accident. I'm seeing a chiropractor, and it is a lot better than it was, but I still have pain when I move certain ways, including sometimes when I pick up my kids. I just thought it would take less time to be all healed, KWIM? Of course, insurance is on my case about it, but it isn't like I want to be in pain or have extra appointments to go to.

One more random: there are birds that keep trying to nest in our gutter. You'd think with it raining, they'd figure out that it isn't a very good nesting locale, but they keep trying.

@fiveohfive beautiful name! DH wants to get LO one of those bubble mowers too.

We found out this weekend we're going to have a neice which is cool b/c so far we have 4 nephews. I'm a little disappointed that DD won't continue to reign as the sole princess but oh well, at least she'll have a girl to play with!

I also had my 3 hour GD test Friday. It made me feel HORRIBLE so I took the afternoon off and rested at home which was lovely. Our weekend was great and relaxing too.

And...for my AW...I just have to show you my beautiful DD! I love this picture so much!!

Here are my randoms:

DD and I got in a car accident on Friday on our way to the Zoo I took the day off work and was meeting some girlfriends.Thankfully DD and I are both ok, here are the highlights: a guy flew over the median from the other side of traffic on a 6 lane road. He hit 4 cars total, mine being the second clipping my passanger side headlight area. It was a stolen vehicle, he has a revoked license and he fled the scene on foot. They later arrested him at the hospital. such a waste of a day off

Random: after hanging out at our SIL's house, H said we should order DD a play kitchen!!! YAY I was patiently waiting until her second birthday so this is very excited. I ordered the Heart of Home Step 2 Kitchen and it should be here Thursday. Yay Amazon

Another Random: We got DD a water table this weekend! SO much fun!

I tried to include some pictures on this post but I have no clue how to anymore. I use a computer, not the App....maybe ill figure it out later

annarose,OMG! I'm so glad you are both ok! That sounds terrifying! Sending you quick recovery and easy insurance adjustment vibes. Glad you got some fun new toys for LO, which is why I liked the post.

Thanks ladies! The accident was scary but could have been alot worse so we are counting our blessings. I feel bad for my husband getting my phone call! lol He made it to the scene in record time considering we blocked 2 out of 3 lanes for 2 hours.

annarose I'm so glad you and DD are okay after the accident! That guy sounds like a real piece of work, but I know I woukd have been freaked out by the whole thing.

My random today is more of a vent. My husband picked up an extra shift (12 hours) on Friday, but otherwise had the whole week off from Tuesday through today. He used his one shift as an excuse to nap most of the weekend. Sure hon, I worked a full week plus overtime and am growing a human, so dealing with the insomnia, abdominal achiness, and significant SI pain that go with it, but it's no problem for me to chase our toddler around while you get your beauty sleep. Ugh, frustrating.

But, we did spend some time with my BIL and his family this weekend, so we got to hang out with our baby nephew and his siblibgs, which is always fun.

I have been working a ton of extra hours the last couple weeks, so my brain is a little foggy these days, but after I get off work today I get the rest of the week off to make up for all the extra hours, I'm really excited about that!

I'm planning to take advantage of all my days off and get a ton of cleaning and organizing done, but we will see. I'm terrible at following through on my housework plans.

DD also has a doctor's appt this week. She has been limping for a while and her pediatrician referred us to an ortho. I've been telling myself not to worry, it could be nothing and I am waiting to see what they say. I'm a little anxious about tomorrow but also glad to finally be getting her in and hopefully get some answers.

redfraggle jnetx thanks! Her pediatrician said it could just be a little inflammation in the joint and no big deal, so that's what I am hoping. But there is always that paranoid thought in the back of my mind that it could be something terrible. We appreciate any and all T&P's!

Was a very productive weekend. We did a mommy & me photo shoot for Mother's Day in a nearby park and then we also had extended family pictures taken for a photo book for MIL. I found some amazing deals on garage sale sites and we now have a Step 2 swingset, a play house and a sand/water table in our backyard..and spent less than $200 on all 3 combined! I was not as good as I have been with my diet. I have been doing medifast for last month and a half but I feel like my body needed a rest so I wasn't terrible but I wasn't good either. Starting lunch gym sessions this week at work since getting up early hasn't worked and by the time DS goes to bed at night I am too exhausted to move. Hope that the extra calories burned kind of bumps me over this hill I have been climbing with getting these last 20 pounds off.

Wednesday random: our nap transition is going much better now that I adjusted the time. Both kids are doing well with it. Yay!

My Wednesday random...I GOT A RAISE! I asked yesterday for them to reconsider the raise my boss tried to give me at the start of the year. Thanks to a new CEO...I'm earning $1.25/hour more!
