I fill a foaming soap container with water and put a splash of dr bronners in. Someone said 1 tbsp to 8 oz I think? It doesn't take much. And an OT FYI, if you can use dr bronners without issues then your water is not hard.
I do a splash of dr bronners and then water, too. Sometimes I do more dr bronners if I want it to feel soapier, but never more than like a quarter inch or even less.
Also, this is the first I've ever bought bronners. What kind of issues might I have? I'm pretty sure I do not have hard water. What else should I be using this for? I bought the peppermint and it smells delicious
I usually hold my thumb where the "max fill" line is on the bottle, put water into it up to my thumb, and then put in a "thumb's worth" of liquid soap. Dr Bronners is pretty potent stuff. I've used a few drops to add a boost to my dish detergent when I hand wash dishes. I use a tiny bit in the sprayer of my "fill it yourself" spray mop.

Edit: bronners not brinner, autocorrect!
The hard water issue is that you can't get it off. You'd know. It's gross.
Yes you can use your regular liquid hand soap to make foaming soap. You need some where between 1/4 and 1/3 of your container to be soap and the rest water. This is what I did for years before I discovered Dr. Bronners.
I'm just using my old foaming dial bottles. Are you saying they make foaming bottles you can buy? Like pretty ones?
No. I was going to repurpose some B&BW ones. But I think I saw someone on tb saying they took the pumps and put them in mason jars. I forget who it was, though.

But Ew. That's just watered down hand soap. Dr bronners is super concentrated.
I also just use old dial bottles, but I would like pretty ones. I'm not paying $15 for them tho.

Can you really blame autocorrect for this one though? It's like your autocorrect really gets you. Like how mine always tries to autocorrect any word that starts with "F" with the word "fuckity." It's not even a word, but my AC knows I love it.

It's like using a small amount of undiluted soap, not just a standard pumps worth of diluted soap. The foaming refills are just watered down soap anyways... I started doing the foaming pumps because my husband used 3 or 4 pumps of soap to wash his hands and we were going through crazy amounts of the stuff.

It was me. I used the pump part of b&bw foaming soaps and drilled holes through canning lids. I spray painted the lids and rings and siliconed the pump on. Turned out super cute & easy.
I also have a b&bw foaming container coated with liquid nails and clear coated small stones.
