Tacos to DD's stuffiness and random cough not turning into anything more and now she seems fine.

I second waffles to DH, he said "his throat is feeling funny" which translates to if he gets the same cold as me he will be out of commission for a week. Man colds are the worst! Also please stop telling me we need to get DD out of our bed and into the crib like I don't know this but do not be of any help to this problem!

I sing her a song I made up with her name and she smiles but then looks somewhat shy, its totally adorable!

@lildiamondeyes, I haven't given DD water and wondered about this also. How much do you give her? I think I should start offering some here and there

Tacos to finally being home in my own bed.

Waffles to trying to figure out how to get DD back to 1-2 feedings a night and back on schedule.
We've been back 4 days and she seemed to be back on schedule with naps and sleeping at night, but she was waking every 30 mins to an 1 hour and I was miserable.
So I tried CIO last night and I was in tears. It was the most awful thing ever. Don't know if I'm going to do it again. I feel like a bad mom today.

I sing DD random nursery songs in a goofy voice and she thinks it's hilarious. I think people in public would find it annoying. Haha

Waffles to DH for being a grumpy butt. It is a really stressful time for him at work and we were all sick last week (man cold strikes again) so he just hasn't been in the best mood/ very helpful lately. He is starting to feel better at least, and he seemed nicer last night, so hopefully it will pass quickly, but sheesh, it's getting annoying.

To make DS laugh, I will do a little dance or make some goofy faces. It doesn't always work though.

Sorry alioop1028, don't feel like a bad mama I keep wrestling with going back and forth with CIO and have yet to try it but just keep complaining about my lack of sleep. I need to try something soon.

Waffles to bad timing. DH's car got hit in the parking lot at work today. The person who hit it left a note with insurance/contact info and admitting fault, so I can't really be mad...accidents happen and at least they owned up to it. But now we're down to one car while waiting for their insurance to work out to pay for the damage. We've been having a really busy month, and being down to one car makes things more difficult.

Tacos to LO's eczema finally clearing up. I've cut the foods he's allergic to out of my diet for 2 weeks now, and his skin is so much clearer. He's a happier baby too, and I no longer have to redirect him from scratching every 5 minutes.

Talking in a funny voice while wobbling my head back and forth like a bobblehead always gets him giggling. In public I settle for blowing air in his face...for some reason he thinks that's hilarious.

You might check with your Dr. I know you have to be careful not to give them too much when under a year. We do 1 ounce of Apple juice and 1 ounce of water per dr instructions from a sippy cup a couple times a week for constipation. That's the only time we do water.

Thanks clearlycrystal, I know at her 6 month appt in mid-March she said she didn't need it right now so I haven't. I guess I just wondered what is the harm but will check in with them...

Waffles to landlord for selling our house and making us move after 1 month of our lease.

Bouncing my son wildly on my knee singing the Bonanza theme song is what makes him giggle and smile.

Yes it can take some time. Though we have had a quick response too. You can easily over do it and have the opposite issue. I tend to give him a sippy with diluted apple juice every 2-3 days with dinner. Just because it has been an ongoing issue. I didn't know but make sure it is a cup and not bottle. I guess juice in bottles can cause teeth issues.

Tacos to my sweet lo. I just miss him and wish I was home with him today.

Waffles to the cranky LO I get at 6 when I get home because he is over the day already and wanting to sleep. But I want to play with him some.

So DS loves when I sing Fancy to him by Iggy Azaela (is that how you spell her name?). I would not be caught dead doing that around anyone. But for some reason when he is having a meltdown it makes him giggle!

alioop1028, you are not a bad mom. I felt that way when we let DS cry, and that was just for 5 mins. Its the worst. However CIO has helped our sleep situation tremendously...he is down to 2 wake ups a night. Which is a miracle!

jt2378, I give water to DS with purees in a sippy cup. He will take a couple sips then look at me like I deceived him because its not BM. But he still keeps going for the cup.

jt2378, I also give LO lil spoonfuls of water when she eats her purees or a tiny bit of water in a sippy cup.

alioop1028 don't feel like a bad mom. CIO is so so hard! We do it in small increments, and if he really gets worked up, like screaming, I usually don't let it continue. It is such trial and error.

jt2378, we give water with solids in a sippy cup. He hasn't quite figured it out, just chews on it.
