Hi ladies Sorry for the TMI below!
Yesterday was a scary day for me, as I spent 6 hours in the ER. I had an SCH earlier in the pregnancy, but I hadn't had a bleed from it in about 7 - 8 weeks. I woke up yesterday to some light brown spotting, and since my OB wasn't in the office, the secretary told me I should go to the ER. At first I felt it was going to be a waste of time, but not wanting to risk anything I went anyway. While I was there it transitioned to bright red bleeding and not as light as before (still not enough to fill a pad, but enough to make me panic and call my DH out of work to meet me at the hopital). I was in tears during the u/s thinking it was all going to be over, but the tech showed me two extremely active babies. U/S showed no cause for the bleeding, no sign of the SCH I had weeks ago. Cervix was closed and 3cm. Don't know if the length is normal or not, but they never mentioned it so I guess so. Fluid levels were all good. I'm wondering if this is a common thing with a multiple pregnancy? It's fustrating not knowing WHY it happened. I'm still having some bleeding today, but I'm hoping it'll go away soon. I'm hoping its my cervix being stupid (I've had issues with it bleeding randomly since I was a teen), but they never did an internal exam, so I won't know for sure (and am starting to wonder if they should have done one?). And in case you're wondering, DH and I did not do any funny buisness so that's not a possible cause lol. We haven't and probably won't until after the babies are here, especially after yesterday's scare!
