Update from Hospital Bed Rest....

Well, I'm on day 10 and things are going well... Some TMI stuff coming...
The past week has been pretty status quo - leaking on and off, strong monitoring 3x a day, no contractions, no cramping. Overall I've been feeling good and baby's doing well. The mass in Nuggets chest has gotten bigger, but it's been slow and steady. There isn't too much pressure on the heart yet, and baby looks healthy still, with no fluid in the belly right now, so my MFM is happy with how things are going and wants to just continue monitoring and doing M/W/F ultrasounds fto keep a close eye on it for now. She doesn't want to poke me and baby unless absolutely necessary.
I did start bleeding today and it started small with just some red spotting and I told the nurse. The docs looked at the pad during rounds and said that if it remained like that it was okay as long as I wasn't cramping. Then I had almost a full pad of red blood, and a toilet full of murkey red water, and the feeling that I passed a clot (but I couldn't see it in the toilet). So of course I called the nurse to come look at it. She did and said she would call my MFM and let her know since she hadn't come over or called yet today after my U/S. When the MFM came over we talked about it and she said that bleeding can happen and go on for awhile and be okay. She isn't overly concerned, but wants me to keep an eye on it and keep the nurses updated too. As long as I'm not contracting or cramping she is confident we can keep baby right where they are for a good while just fine.
My plan is to be here as long as possible, so I'm going to do my part to try and make that happen, as hard as it has been to be 'stuck' here. I have had visitors which is nice, and my mom and H have brought J by to see me a couple of times now which is great. She doesn't fully understand yet why I have to stay here and why I can't leave to go home with them.
But having a lunch date or a dinner date with her has been so nice. I miss her so much and I feel like she's growing up and changing too much without me there to see it.
Anyway, now that it's nice and late, I really should try to sleep - I don't know who my night nurse is yet, but the one the other day started monitoring super early at 5:30am!! Of course then the lab came by to draw blood at 6:15... so much for dozing off again! Needless to say I was exhausted yesterday!
