NBR: What are you doing for YOUR mom's Mother's Day?

I'm halfway across the country, and my mom is diabetic, so my options are limited.  I've narrowed it down to plants (not finding good ones), tea (but she's picky), or a birthstone necklace with all 4 grandkids' stones (but I'm not finding one that is her style.)

I framed one of DS1's school pictures for her and bought her a card from me and another from DS1. I'll give it to her this coming Sunday. She'll get a phone call on the actual day.

MIL is getting the same, only she'll get hers on Saturday of this week.

My sister and I are taking my mom out to lunch and then for Mani/Pedi's, this will not be happening on ACTUAL Mothers day. Then for my MIL we will take her out to lunch and as a gift we are going to buy her a pedicure, and I will probably end up going with her that day to get it done.

ladymouse did you look on Etsy for the necklace? Even if you find something you remotely like, the artists are usually VERY acommodating in changing things to match what you'd like

Not sure yet for a gift, but I always hand make her cards. All her cards. Something about her having a 31 year old pregnant daughter who still hand makes her cards... she cries every time.

We're going to try and take both my mom and DH's to lunch or something. My parents live 2.5 hrs away and DH's live 1 hr (and sorta in the middle...) so I'm hoping my parents don't mind driving to DH's hometown. If that doesn't work, a card

Probably a card and taking her for tea or doing something to honor my grandmother. This is her first Mother's Day without her own mom. It will be a tough one.

My parents farm is only about 15 minutes from us and my sister's birthday is May 12 so we usually try to get together for a family supper sometime that weekend. My mom and I have also been going flower shopping for our backyards around Mother's Day as a greenhouse date, which we both really enjoy (and my sister was able to join us last year).

Mine too.

We always do something for my mom - like tea, mani/pedi, etc.  This year we're all going to brunch.

For my MIL, we usually get her something from shutterfly - a picture with her and LBB on something from the past year (mug, magnet, etc.)

Planning on brunch and flowers. If I happen to find a cute outfit for her then I'll probably get her that for a gift too.

And then I'm guessing dinner with MIL.

I already told my mom and H that this year I get to celebrate being a mom too even though we'll still have a few more weeks until baby gets here. I'll have been carrying her for almost 8 months and it has been hard work!

Since we won't see our moms until after Mother's Day, I thought about sending flowers and purchasing a "Grandma and Me" frame and take a picture of them with the little one to put in. Obviously, the picture and frame are for after our daughter arrives.

My sisters and I will take mom out to lunch, and she'll get a card. It's not that big of a deal for us.

I usually send my mom flowers. I did just get her flowers as a gift for co hosting my baby shower soooooo maybe I will switch it up this year.

My sister is taking mom for a pedicure and then we're both going to take her out for supper and I'm going to get her a yard ornament that she saw at a greenhouse and loved. I figure I'll cover that or dinner since my sis is treating for their pedicures.
