I have both. The cat is definitely lower maintenance and he has single handedly wiped out the mole and mouse population around our property so hes useful too! The dog just hangs around and sleeps

I'm torn on this one. I have and love both. I think cats are cool in the "I don't care what you think of me" kind of way, but dogs love and excitement + loyalty and protection is rad too. Lol

Dogs. I don't hate cats, but there's something nice about having a pet that wants to cuddle and play that I find more appealing.

Dogs. Most because DH is super allergic to cats.
I've had both, but only my dogs have ran to the door excited to see me when I get home. I also love that dogs enjoy long walks...I tried walking my cat when I was a kid, didn't go over well.

I don't know. I used to say I didn't like cats but we have a car and not a dog right now. Cats are so much less maintenance. I don't have to worry about her if I'm gone all day. A dog I'd have to worry about coming home to find they'd used the bathroom I'm the house or tore up something.

Cats. Walli (my cat) greets me at the door and follows me around like a dog. He's super cuddly and really smart. I think it's made a difference that he's an indoor kitty though because none of my previous outdoor cats were anything like him.

I've had dogs before and I think they're pretty awesome too.

I have both so I feel kind of torn on choosing but the dog gets my vote. I absolutely hate that dang liter box!! It stinks, the liter gets everywhere, theres no good place to put it in our house, and the cat scratches the insides of the cabinet that its in-super annoying. We dont have to do much of dog patrol outside since we have a fairly large yard and a small (18 lbs mini schnauzer) but if we had a bigger dog my vote may be swayed..

I have a cat and a dog. Hard to choose because they have different qualities I like. My dog loves to play except could play 24/7
My cat is low maintenance, older now so all he does is sleep or cuddle. Or try to hide from LO.

Neither. We have no pets. I have a husband and two kids to clean up after, I don't need an animal too. Although, the nights we have messy suppers (like rice) I wish we had a dog.

I'm a huge dog person... I love the companionship and being outdoors is my favorite so it's great to have a walki/jogging buddy, a reason to try a new state park, or to just go for a car ride on a nice day. We have a black lab who looooves to swim and fetch. My old dog was my baby- she was a huge English mastiff who just wanted to sit on your feet and be loved. She would also stare and whine at you every day at 7am and 7pm for food and 10pm for bed time since she didn't want to go alone.

I do like cats, but I'm way more afraid of being attacked by one than a dog :/

Cats as a whole. We have 2 cats now but as a kid I had both plus other animals and i loved them all. At this point in my life a cat is better for us because they are easier. My cats have alot of personality.

Dog person all the way. We do have a cat, but she is outdoors only, and DH just randomly found her and brought her home one day. My dog is awesome though.
