Normally if there is a community something or other (I.e. Muffins, cake, brownies) that has been finished off, I'll wash the plate even if I didn't eat the last of something. I figure the maker of said goodies shouldn't be cleaning that dish.
I'm surprised at how many times this happens. I walked in the break room yesterday and there was a sign taped to the cake pan "If you ate the last piece, please clean the pan."
So if you take the last of something do you toss the doughnut box or wash the pan? If you made the treat do you expect that the last taker wash your dish?
Lol! So today there are 3 pans on the counter. One cake, one coffee cake, one muffin. I think they are from last week. The tiniest sliver of everything is left. No one wants to take the last piece and have to clean the dish. I never realized my office was like this until now.
I wonder how long it will just sit there before it grows mold?

In my office, people bring in food that is extremely questionable! I've seen cake with mold left in the kitchen and employees still serve themselves!?! Usually its left on disposable containers so there's nothing to clean up.
