Anyone receive newsletters from TB? Apparently they fucked up and sent a horribly insensitive email regarding being pregnant to everyone, including the Loss and IF moms. Color me shocked. Assholes.
I would love a screen shot of the email if anyone has one.
My very old email is attached to my TB account and I dont know what my password is for it. I can try to see if I can guess the password and look and see if I got one.
ETA: I got in but I didnt see a newsletter from TB
Just checked - didn't get one. What a fucked up thing to do. And I'm sure they don't think they did anything wrong.
I don't get it anymore [because I had my whole account deleted, probably], but they absolutely never cared about their insensitive wording. We used to point it out in every message they mass pinned on all the boards, and they'd either completely ignore us or be like "Oh, oops." and then either do nothing (most of the time) or make some half-hearted apology and repeat the mistake again a few weeks/months later.
And did you all see that they blamed the volunteer mods for all the stuff that went down last week? You should have seen the original draft they wanted to publish. We fought HARD to get rid of things like no posting the same information as someone else in a thread (realistically, no threads with multiple replies), no going off topic in a thread (so much for lightening up a heated thread by talking about food...), and no off-site links (say goodbye to fertilityfriend and kellymom!). We went around and around for a couple weeks on this stuff, and they finally came up with something tolerable, not necessarily great, but I think most users could have come to terms with them if they'd been implemented differently. They took away mod powers on Thursday and started in with all the random deletions and bannings. I don't see how they can blame the mods...

Okay, the first part just makes me sad. I know they're a business and all, but there was a huge loss/IF community over there and it's terrible that they couldn't realize they were offending so many wonderful ladies.
Blaming the mods seems in line with the lies (we banned users for porn - uh, that happened AFTER the banning) they've been telling in an effort to cover their butts. I'm so sorry you and the other mods fought so hard for that community and were treated like crap in return.
