I get then increasingly often these days. Long walks out of the ordinary seem to really kick them off. I've had them at least every other day the last 2 weeks.
I have a pretty active job so I tend to get them at the end of each day. I notice they're worse if I don't have any belly support (full banded pants or a belly band) so I try to make sure I'm always wearing one or the other. I also try to drink plenty of water throughout the day, but I up the consumption when I start to feel them. Then as soon as I get home I camp out on the couch with my water bottle and my feet up.
I get them often. Almost every day? I don't really keep track unless they are happening back to back. That only happened after I shoveled 10 inches of snow for an hour. They happen if I'm more active than normal (like mowing the grass) or if I get up too fast/when I change positions after sitting for a long time. The days that I teach on a cart are the worst because I'm on my feet all day. Oh! If I wear maternity spanx with a dress then when I take them off when I get home the loss of support seems to make them happen
I weirdly don't mind them most of the time. They may not be doing anything but it makes me be hopeful I won't need induced, even if that isn't scientifically factual LOL!
I'm getting them between 1-4 times an hour...but I'll go 3-4 hrs like that, then nothing for an hr or so. Its been like this for a few days. I noticed that walking or standing makes it worse (hello, moderate bed rest) but I'm getting them now even when I lay around doing nothing. I've even drank a crap ton more water hoping it helps but I don't really seem to notice a difference.
I'm sure it'll be brought up at my appt on Monday, but like I said, just wanted to know others experiences.
Yup, typically when I push it too much and am too active. Dehydration too, so I just chug water, put my feet up and take some time. Sorry you're getting them so often!

Sometimes I get them every few hours or I have them 4-6 times an hour. I have talked to my dr about my personal situation with them and they have said as long as they aren't more painful I will be okay. This terrifies me because sometimes I have them every 5-7 mins and when I call the dr they make me feel a little crazy.
For some reason I get them all the time no matter what I am doing.. When I am in bed trying to fall asleep I will get one. I started having them at 18 weeks and they have always been painful for me. I would say on average I get ten a day. Last week they did start coming 8 min apart and I had to go to l&d for them to stop them but my cervix is closed so they aren't productive contractions. My ob isn't worried and said it's normal but they are really annoying!!

It varies. With DS I got them a lot and they started early on. I haven't had nearly as many with this pregnancy. One day I really overdid it (did yoga that morning which isn't usual for me) and I was having them every 3-5 mins for about 40 mins. I came home drank water and rested and they stopped. Sometimes just changing positions (like standing up) causes them for me. Sometimes baby changing positions and pushing a certain way causes them. If it's BH it shouldn't hurt. It may be uncomfortable but shouldn't really hurt. I believe typically if you have 4+ in an hour most OBs want to be contacted. I probably have them every day at this point but I almost don't notice them.
I wasn't sure that I was getting them, but after seeing a lot of you describe them as more of a tightening of your bellies, I think I might be feeling that once or twice a day, but not necessarily every day. I notice them particularly when I get really upset or stressed. And of course, when I've been walking around a lot.
I'm 33 weeks, FTM and have been feeling them for quite a few weeks now. At first I thought it may have been baby moving and putting pressure on me but it's not painful at all. It just feels like tightening at the top half of my uterus. I get them mostly when I'm at work/ on days that I work. I'm on my feet for almost the whole 8 hours so I think that's what does it. I try to keep a water bottle with me at all times during my shift because it's the only way I can stay hydrated even though it's against the rules per JCAHO lol. It's either that or I'm afraid I'll get too dehydrated and end up in the ED to get checked out.
