We got some sleep last night! Was it the marathon nursing yesterday evening? The bigger swaddler? The lack of evening nap? I don't know but we all needed it.
Our air conditioner crapped out yesterday evening, but DH got it thawed and it limped along for the night. Guess we get to deal with that today. My bet is DH's cousin comes over, puts more freon in it, tinkers for an hour, and tells us it'll work but he doesn't know how long. It's our spring tradition

I'm up waiting on the Drs office to open so I can try to get an appointment for today. I'm pretty sure I have mastitis. Went to bed last night with the chills and a very tender spot on my breast that I attempted to massage out and woke this morning with a 101 feve and an achy bodyr. I blame it on my trip this weekend and not taking my pump. LO was overstimulated on Friday night and was having a hard time getting a full feeding in. I woke up Saturday super engorged.
Ouch, hollydfromtn. Hope you get some relief soon.
Swim lessons cancelled today because the pool was too cold. I had DS in his swim stuff and actually made it on time. He peed through his swim diaper on the way home so now I need to clean the carseat.
G was up from 3:30 to 5 this morning. I got him back down for an hour or so, then DH took over until needing to get ready for work. G did some side laying nursing and has been out for about an hour (I got another 30 minutes), but he's on my arm and I don't want to get up.
It's 5am and DS has slept an hour longer. Hoping this is a new trend. He's wiggling around but, not crying yet. I am wondering if I should go in there and get him fed and back down without triggering his scream fest.

hollydfromtn, I hope you feel better. lilyelayne, YAY Sleep! DS wasn't a terror last night either. He's still all "feed me feed me!" every 3 hours though.
MY spam... over the weekend I had a nightmare I was pregnant again lol. I took a pregnancy test and stared at the two pink lines and was like "How could I be 6 weeks pregnant?! DS is only 13 weeks old!"
So when I woke up I remember that I forgot to take my BC for 2 days.
Today I am calling the doctor and requesting an IUD - I am obviously terrible at remembering to take the pill and that dream kicked me in the ass. But it actually scared me too. If you are EBFing, how would you even know?! You wouldn't! Scary shit, yo.
toadandbuggie I was wondering the same thing yesterday for some reason! What if you didn't know you ovulated, then you think you don't have your period because you're ebf. Scary.
DS was getting really cranky yesterday evening. Baths calm him down so we went ahead and started his nighttime routine a little early.
He nursed on the right side then fell asleep. He fell asleep pretty quickly and only got up once at 3 am (yay). But he only nurses from one side at a time, so righty went nearly 13 hours without any action! Ugh! It hurt all the way up into my armpit.
Lefty is pretty full now, too. I hope he wants to eat again soon. I need to decide whether to pump some or just hand express.
toadandbuggie that's so scary!!!! I BF LO and my period is already back at 3 months. It would of been nice to have a little bit longer of a break.
3 Months?! That stinks! I am about a year without my period now and I don't miss it at all! But like I said, how would you know...? Maybe I should keep a handful of PG tests to ease my mind.
AW-ing my awesome husband, go ahead and skip if you don't want to read my gushing, lol.
Saturday I realized that I was getting really worn out because I wasn't taking any real time to have fun during my downtime. I hadn't played a video game in weeks aside from Yahtzee on my phone. I had been making sure that DH got time in the evenings and weekends to play his games, but wasn't doing the same for myself (I was trying to avoid getting frustrated at getting interrupted while playing, which just meant I wasn't playing at ALL, which wasn't a solution!). The problem is I really can't play games on my computer for the time being.
So, even though we really shouldn't be spending a bunch of extra money, my husband gave me the OK to get one of the new Nintendo 3DS XLs to replace my 1st gen tiny 3DS and two new games. The handheld system is a lot more manageable with a baby, I can just close the system and it will suspend my game automatically.
I know this might sound stupid, but I already feel much better! I have this bit of normalcy back.
I got up, showered, and dealt with laundry. G got up about 5 minutes ago. We're meeting DH and a couple of friends for lunch today and I'm looking forward to it.

I have gotten my period 6 weeks PP both times. I always have a spare pregnancy test around.
hollydfromtn, Hope you feel better soon @nolagal, Sorry for your loss
I am still waiting on my first pp period. I FF so I feel like it should be here by now and with learning about people getting pregnant with an IUD, I am kind of nervous. I will be keeping a few tests around, thats for sure.
hollydfromtn hope you feel better soon! dacora enjoy your new games! DH has an XL and loves it. @nolagal hugs & sorry for your loss. I'm praying for your family.
My husband's uncle died this morning. We will be headed to MS for the funeral this week. This loss is really hard to take. He was diagnosed with a terminal lung disease in Sept, but was given up to 5 years to live. This all happened way too fast. Fuck. He has 3 kids that we're close with and I can't imagine what they're going through...or his wife. Ugh.

I wish all nights could be like lady night. LO feel asleep by 9, I got everything ready for the morning and was in bed by ten, then LO woke me at 5am! My boobs weren't happy, but it was so nice to sleep and then wake up with plenty of time to nurse and get ready for work.
I think the swaddler he was in really helped the sleep stretch. I wish I knew what brand it was, it's a hand me down and the only one that fits him. DS is so long he is swiftly running out of options.
I'm about to leave for our first Stroller Strides class! I'm impressed that we at up and ready to leave the house by 9. I'm lame though and a little nervous- like the first day of school.
@nolagal I'm sorry, that's rough. Thinking of you!
toadandbuggie Just noticed your new avatar, supercute
@holachica Have fun!
Our new cloth diapers arrived today. I'm super excited, seeing DD's bum in the cute patterns gives me all kinds of happy feels! I even found one with a lego pattern that DH will love. If I had ordered only that pattern DH would probably volounteer to do every single diaper change.
Also, today is my grandma's 85th birthday. Her eyesight is really bad but she's hanging in there. She's been so supportive of me and DH and was really excited to meet DD, who is her first great-grandchild. I wish I could see her more often, but she lives 3h away.
