What are you doing this month? Medicated cycles with Letrozole, opk, temping, and pnv
Where are you at in your journey? Currently I am waiting for my period to start. I had a huge temp drop on Sunday, so I stopped temping. I was hoping it would have started yesterday, but I am 100% sure it will start today or later tonight. I have my prescription filled for the Letrozole and I put in a message for my RE to call me, because I have a few questions about the medicine. When I filled the prescription the pharmacist was super nice and wanted to talk to me about the medicine, when to have sex, opks, and the whole process. I just let her talk and nodded my head, when she was done, I thanked her and left the Walgreens. It was definitely the highlight of my day, having a sex talk with the pharmacist.
What is your mood? Right now I am anxious, I just want my period to start so I can get this medicated cycle started.
QOTW: Give me two words that describe you, and why you chose those particular words. First word would be peacekeeper, because I hate when people are at odds and having a hard time dealing with each other. Second, smart ass, I have a tendency to sometimes say what I am thinking be it good or bad.

Where are you from: Virginia
Status: TTC #2 for 14 months
What are you doing this month? Clomid/Pregnyl trigger/ TI / Preseed/ Softcups / PNV / Progesterone
Where are you at in your journey? CD20 5dpo, awaiting my beta 5/5
What is your mood? Hopeful. VERY hopeful. But also on the verge of defeat. We will be taking a break if this isn't THE month.
QOTW: Resourceful and Crafty. I know that doesn't say much about my personality but it was the first things that came to mind. I am a nurse (not practicing) and part of that trade is being resourceful. I've also had roommates that have called me MacGyver. I also have a super crafty side. I'm not always good at it, but I am the pinterest queen!

wirt2cute, I have taken 3 rounds of Femara. I started with 2.5mg, then 5mg, then 7.5mg the 3rd month. I did find that if I took the Femara at night, I had less of the side effects. The worst one was headaches and they got more severe days after taking it. Other than that, I had no other side effects. I was also prescribed this by my OB and I did not have a follow up US, so I don't know if it helped my follicles.

happyktmom,Thank you for the information. The pharmacist who I talked with yesterday did mention to take it at night and at the same time, so if I had any side effects I could possible sleep through them. I really appreciate hearing your experience, being that this is my first time doing a medicated cycle. Edited to add a question:
I am thinking about doing the Divacup as well. I bought the soft cups and I tried them, but they were so uncomfortable. I felt like I had this huge hard rubber band in my vajayjay. Do you insert it after ever time, and how long would you keep it in?
Post by happyktmom on Apr 28, 2015 16:33:23 GMT -5
wirt2cute, I'm glad your pharmacist gave you that helpful tidbit! I had to learn the hard way. I use the disposable softcups. The ones you wear once and toss. I don't find them uncomfortable but I do remove them in the morning. They can stay in for 12 hours. Good luck!
Status: Waiting for AF so I can start BCP in preparation for IVF. She should arrive early next week.
What are you doing this month? Waiting....impatiently.
Where are you at in your journey? TTC #1
What is your mood? Bleh.
QOTW: Give me two words that describe you, and why you chose those particular words. Sassy - I get called sassypants A LOT! lol. The second word...hmmmmm...crafty or smartassy? All are very fitting

FX for the both of you, wirt2cute and happyktmom. I know that meds must make you feel pretty crummy. Time to graduate!
I hope that your period starts soon. Good luck with this upcoming cycle, dream2be3.
Where are you from: Northern California
Status: TTC#2 for 14 months, 12 cycles (two benched)
What are you doing this month? Temping, OPKs, acupuncture, prenatals, stress-B complex, DHA/EPA, probiotics, EOD sex in FW.
Where are you at in your journey? I'm at CD11. Probably three or four days before O.
What is your mood? I am hopeful. My MIL is here, so I wasn't sure that we could pull-off stealth sex this morning, but DH was a trooper. Now I just hope that Thursday works out for us. She'll be gone by then. I also clarified that DH shouldn't relieve himself this week. If he has any count issue, I don't want anything to hinder his numbers. I'm hoping to pull off CD11, CD13, and CD14. Please send good vibes!
Talked to my RE last week. He said that he doesn't want to put my on thyroid meds for a TSH of 2.6 because the number can fluctuate day by day and meds might cause it to get too low. He suggested a SIS instead of a HSG to check and see if polyps are an issue with me. I'm thinking about scheduling that next month, and I'll bring up the SA with DH again. HOPEFULLY we get pregnant and can blissfully forget about RE activities.
QOTW: Two words that describe me are compassionate and tender. I try to be a compassionate person and help others whenever I can. I believe in karma. I am tender because I am sensitive and people around me can affect me. As I've grown older, I've learned not to take on people's toxicity or issues as my own.
Good luck to all of you ladies and congratulations to all of the recent grads!
What are you doing this month? Started charting last week to get back in the swing of things.
Where are you at in your journey? We plan to start TTC #2 next month.
What is your mood? Still sick. I think I have a sinus infection, and I'm doing the whole Flonase + Sudafed + Mucinex routine to help clear things up, but I'm not sure it's really working. I am tired of feeling sick.
QOTW: Give me two words that describe you, and why you chose those particular words. Smart and loyal. I think they're my two strongest and best qualities.

URMySunshine77, sending good vibes! And don't you know having the SAME done is actually the trick at getting pregnant! ! dream2be3, good luck with IVF prep. Let us know what you're doing along the way. I've always wondered what the benching prior is for? jess9802, feel better! I was the same and just scrapped temping this month. Good luck!
happyktmom, you are so awesome, FX for your beta on 5/5. I will totally be looking out for your update. dream2be3, I love the word sassypants. FX for your upcoming IVF process.
URMySunshine77, come on stealth sex, that seriously had me LOL out loud. I can totally see you as being tender and compassionate.

Hello, ladies. A little late to the game today.
Where are you from: KS
Status: CD 6; last mandatory TTA cycle
What are you doing this month? Temping and hoping to see if I O.
Where are you at in your journey? Still in a holding pattern. Just waiting out this cycle and go from there.
What is your mood? Generally positive. Not much I can do right now so I don't worry too much.
QOTW:Give me two words that describe you, and why you chose those particular words. Patient and random. Patience is definitely something I've learned especially when TTC. And I'm just a random gal. You never know what might come out of my mouth. My brain goes a mile a minute.

Where are you from: Ohio
Status: TTC #2
What are you doing this month? temping, PNVs, OPKs, and I bought some Pom juice (figure it can't hurt)
Where are you at in your journey? Cycle 1/CD 7
What is your mood? Good - last time it took one cycle for my body to get back in gear so we'll see how it goes this time
QOTW: Give me two words that describe you, and why you chose those particular words. Analytical and stubborn - I like data to help me make my decisions and understand what's going on. Stubborn because I don't give up easily if it's something I care about.

Where are you from: Az - it's getting H O T! Supposed to hit 100 this week...
Status: TTC #2
What are you doing this month? PNV's, OPK's, Temping, etc..
Where are you at in your journey? CD8. Freaking out a bit because my entire life I've had LONG periods (7+ days). I just had the shortest one of my life (4 days). I'm not complaining but hoping it isn't a sign that something's not working right in there.
What is your mood? Excited to finally be able to officially try again soon.
QOTW: Sensitive and loyal. I am very sensitive - I tend to take things personally a lot. As I've gotten older I've gotten a thicker skin but it still is something I have to actively work on. I am fiercely loyal to those close to me...it's the Scorpio in me!
What are you doing this month? Back to charting. My fertile window is right before DH's big Ironman triathalon so I hope I can entice him since he usually has zero drive when he's in training mode.
Where are you at in your journey? I'm a praying person and I'm feeling more at peace that we may just be a one and done family. My heart is telling me to be thankful for my spunky DD and not dwell on what might be. But we're not ready to stop TTC yet.
What is your mood? Honestly, a little down lately. I'm still struggling with that guilty feeling of trying to be happy for other's BFPs but sad that it's not happening for me. I feel like all my friends are moving on to the next grade or something and I'm stuck behind.
QOTW: Give me two words that describe you, and why you chose those particular words. Realist Content
Best wishes for those in the 2ww and/or have upcoming apts. Hugs for those that need them, and hopeful for all!
Where are you from: Georgia
Status: ttc #2 with my dh 11th cycle t with 2ntnp
What are you doing this month? not much
Where are you at in your journey? reflecting
What is your mood? aggravated. Dh has a cold. We have dealt with his illness all year and I'm just frustrated and worn down emotionally from him being sick/ill, low energy etc. It really is draining on our relationship. I try to be compassionate and remain grateful for our lo, but right now I'm just not feeling it. It will pass but in the moment it sucks.

Where are you from: MA
Status: TTC #1 since May 2014
What are you doing this month? IVF #1, Acupuncture
Where are you at in your journey? Stopped Estrace, 4th day of injections, first monitoring appointment tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
What is your mood? Hopeful! I've had zero side effects from the medication so far. It's actually a little weird, I feel like everything is too quiet! Nervous for my first monitoring appointment - hoping all is progressing well. Injections were a bit daunting the first day, but it got easier every time and now it's no big deal.
QOTW: Give me two words that describe you, and why you chose those particular words. Sensitive and Loyal. Sensitivity can be my best and worst quality. I take things way too personally, but I'm also super tuned in to other people's feelings. I'm the most loyal friend in the world... but if you cross me (in a big way) I don't forgive easily.
happyktmom, - I'm not benched, we are BDing but DH is sucking the fun out of it as it's always about trying to get pregnant in hopes that we don't have to go through with IVF. Needless to say, there's been a dry spell..lol. The birth control is because my RE office only does IVF one week out of the month so timing has to be perfect.
luvmyponies, - I hope your monitoring appointment goes well! momtex, - I understand your feeling like everyone is moving to the next grade and you're left behind. I would venture to say a few of us feel that way at times. jess9802, - I hope you get over the sinus infection soon! wirt2cute, - I agree with happyktmom, the headaches are the worst part. Mine gradually got worse as the days went on and didn't totally go away until a couple days after I was off the medication. Hope it goes well for you!!!
Best of luck to everyone this month and I hope to see some BFP's soon!!!

momtex. SO MUCH THIS! These are things I've been struggling with. Hug to you.
bunny, if you have no known issues and are having intercourse regularly you are doing it right! I will suggest reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler and/or looking at fertilityfriend website. A lot of us chart our bbt on ff to ensure we are timing intercourse well. Best wishes!
Sorry I'm late to the party again!! My other check in is on Wed so I'm always a day (or so!) late here
Where are you from: DC area, currently VA
Status: TTC#1 (2 losses) currently benched till AF post loss shows - which I think is soon!
What are you doing this month? PNV, lots of water, eating healthy, lots of exercise, all the vitamins it seems!
Where are you at in your journey? Just had my post loss tests done this past Monday - not sure when the results will be in. OB wants to put me on progesterone, so we'll see how that goes.
What is your mood? Excited and anxious - ready for AF to be here so I can burn the bench!
QOTW: Give me two words that describe you, and why you chose those particular words. I'd have to say resourceful (I've been called MacGyver too, happyktmom!!!) and diplomatic. On being resourceful: I've been in many "sink or swim" situations and although there have been times I've nearly drowned, I was able to at least tread ok. On being diplomatic: seems like I'm usually the mediator whether for professional or personal reasons. It'll be interesting to see how this skill will play out when we have kid(s)!!

Excellent rec!! Other than the ladies I've met on TD, this book taught me so much! I love how she literally covers everything from a woman's first period through menopause!!
Hi all! It's been one hell of a week. Thank goodness it's Thursday!
MA
I think I'm WTO, though my temps have been crazy. Originally ff gave me ch was back on cd 9, but I was traveling, stressed, not sleeping. I also had a high fever with stomach virus one day. I discarded those temps as my temps are normal now (cd 16) and way lower. I got opk for the first time to play with them and so far no positive so unless I did miss back on cd9 (unlikely), I'm prob still WTO.
So I thought we lost our shot this month bc our trip was a disaster, we came home and DH had a moment questioning whether we should be TTC, and I thought there was no chance we'd get any bd in. But it looks like we might have another day or so this cycle to try and I seduced him this am...so...there's a chance ha.
I'm ttc#1 for 9 mo or so. Had first RE appt and she wants me to do cd3 testing and HSG next cycle and get him an SA.
Better. After our trip and them being super sick for two days with a nice fight smack in the middle, my morale was low. But I'm focusing on getting healthy and I'll get the testing done with re to see if it shows anything. If it doesn't show anything specific, I'll probably hold off on doing anything for a couple months and give DH some time. He's back on board with ttc but I think it's ok to leave it to (well timed) chance for a couple months before adding stress of treatments, procedures, etc. of course if the testing finds something, all bets are off.
QOTW: empathetic and patient. I'm empathetic to a fault, I feel other people's emotions so strongly it can really actually impact my life. I'm also extremely patient (ttc is testing this ha), I'm rarely in a hurry and give things, projects, people, the time they need, on their schedule without pushing too hard.
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
momtex, I'm on that same page. We always said we'd have one child, more of MH's choice than mine. I finally had him come around early last year that it wasn't fair for our DD to be an only child. He's been up and down, but when it comes down to it - he wants another child. I feel guilty some days. I see people around me adopting and I wonder if that's what God's plan is for us. I'm the one calling a break time next month, so we'll see. Good luck to you!

I think that's what I struggle with the most. I don't want to deprive DD the experience of having a sibling. I come from a big family so it's hard for me to imagine growing up with just my parents.

DH came through again despite the dog throwing up in our bed this morning beforehand. (SMH) I can't seem to turn a clear OPK this month, so FX that we actually hit -3 and -1.
URMySunshine77, oh my words...hmm, I'll go with fun/silly and loving/compassionate. I try not to take myself too seriously and I act more like a 17/20 yr old than a 42... for my 35th birthday my boys got me a balloon saying Happy 13th! It was so cute and appropriate. I believe I am a compassionate person and try to show others kindness and consideration.
For the record I don't like describing myself! Ugh, I tend to respond with my negatives over my positives and that is not healthy so it takes some serious contemplation to be nice to myself.
