What are you reading (or what have you read?)

Talking about GOT on the UO thread got me thinking about books!

I love, love, love to read. I'm trying to spend the little bit of quiet time I get, reading a few chapters every night. I just finished the Divergent trilogy and am halfway through the "Four" books that Roth wrote afterwards. They are really good.

Previous favorites have been Twilight (I know, I know), Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson Series (I'm only slightly ashamed that I read this in my 30's). I read a lot of Nicholas Sparks and Jodi Picoult, but the books became too predictible and sad for me. Nora Roberts and Danielle Steele were previous favorites too.  I did read 50 shades....lol.  I've heard Outlander is awesome, and it's on my list.

What else can you guys recommend?

I'll have to try the Four books.... I really liked Divergent. Right now I'm reading the Selection Series by Kiera Cass ( it's kinda like the Bachelor). I recently finished reading the Nightangel trilogy by Brent Weeks. The first two books were really good, but the third got a little weird. My favorite book is called The Name Of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. It's a fantasy book, and it's almost like an autobiography of the main character. He's hiding as an innkeeper and a scribe recognizes him and wants his life story. He agrees and tells the scribe it'll take three days to tell the story (so it's a trilogy). Still waiting on book three, so I don't know how it will end.

I'm reading the 7th Outlander book right now. I loved the first one. I wouldn't say I loved any of the others. I loved Harry potter obviously. I liked Hunger Games and Divergent series but didn't read the Four series.

I just read a couple books by Liane Moriarty that were really good and have requested the rest of her stuff. I also like Jojo Moyes a lot. Some of her books are sappy and predictable but a huge step up from Jodi Piccoult and Nicholas Sparks,

I read a lot of YA so I would suggest Lauren Oliver. She has a couple solo books and a series. I've only read the solo books but liked them. Also like Jandy Nelson, Tim Tharp, and John Green for YA.

I just read The Girl On The Train, and it was really good! I finished in less than a week.

Thanks for the ideas! I wasn't sure I wanted to read the four series, since I was sorta irritated with Insurgent. But, I wasn't ready to be done and so I bought them. I've read two, have two to go and so far it's been really interesting seeing things from his perspective, both before and during the Divergent series.
