Hi, y'all!
I'm Icequeen (Queenie) and this will be baby number 2 for us! We have an 18 month old DD who can't wait to be a big sister, and are planning on getting a puppy soon. DH and I have been together for almost 5 years, and married for almost 3, and currently live in southern Louisiana. I love binge watching shows on Netflix such as Parenthood and Grey's Anatomy, reading popular fiction, and running. I used to be a post-doctoral associate researcher in nutrition, reproduction, and women's health before I became a SAHM. DH is ex-Air Force and currently in job talks with the government for some other positions. We are so excited to welcome all the life changes that are in store for us.
I am mainly on the GKU, Toddlers, SAHP, Religious Families, and Mental Wellness boards. We had a difficult time conceiving DD on our own due to my diagnosis of Hypothalamic Amenorrhea back in February 2013. We tried for about 4 months before going to the RE since I was not getting periods or ovulating on my own. Once we started with treatment, I got pregnant in less than a month with the RE. This time around, though, it has not been as easy! My first pregnancy caused a lot of scar tissue and raw tissue to form in my cervix and uterus, making it difficult for the sperm to reach the egg, even though I returned to normal cycles and was ovulating on my own. After 2 CP's and our first IUI in month 9 of trying for a second baby, here I am! I am so elated and anxious to be here and to get to know y'all. Some I already know, and it's awesome to see your familiar faces I hope we can all offer each other wisdom, compassion, and laughs during this awesome time!
Go January '16! Whoooo!
